The only difference is the lighting is a fraction brighter.
No matter how hard they try, S.T.A.L.K.E.R has and will always look the same.
DX11 seems to be abit darker and has some minor details.
It's just a cosmetic difference, no one will notice while playing the game.
Don't forget the smoother bumps :downs:
The shadows are penumbric on dx11
The contrast looks a load better
But i want to see what sort of hit this has on performance.
Mind is blown
The shadows are slightly different. The only noticeable difference I saw was the tessellation on the character models. They're a lot smoother.
The tonemappingrange seems to be much more realistic than on the DX10 version. =)
All i see is more defined shadows/lighting.

Hopefully that's not all. Ill wait intill a few more games come out that work on DX 11 to see if they are any better.
Maybe DX11 will have as big an impact on the gaming world as DX10 :downs:
The only one that has a notable difference is the one with the 2 guys facing to the right. The guy on the right looks less jagged around the gas mask and his shoulders.
Look at the shadows on some of the DX 10 pictures, they're jagged and sorta split up, it's gone in the DX 11 version though.
well the smoothing edges on models is a cool thing
but the shadow is meh.
what the fuck happend to dx10, I never really saw any game use it properly
Maybe DX11 will have as big an impact on the gaming world as DX10 :downs:
per-object shaders are a really big thing, however no-one has used them yet. the only game i can think of that did was Crysis (fast moving objects got blurred).
On the bottom right person they both look crap
new engine please
Oh cool, they just reduced the detail level for the first character model image.
I once put everything on static instead of the higher definition option, didn't notice and don't really care. STALKER is great with only static lighting as long as texture detail is on high.
new engine please
Why?
They spent years working on this engine, and they're constantly improving it.
Why move on to another engine?
I was looking at them thinking the Left images where DX10 and the right was DX11

but they are.
but they are.
Except for the second to last one.

That's Like telling Valve to Drop Source and Use Unreal.
[editline]03:15PM[/editline]
That's Just not right...
if you like at the models, the DX11 ones are higher poly.

The Character Models
This is why I still have no faith in this STALKER, they keep putting tech ahead of bug fixes and gameplay improvements.

The engine is bugged to hell and crashes, it needs hell a lot of improvements but not the graphical ones, it's about the way it works.
