I never expected a NieR sequel, let alone one that has Platinum working on it.
I'm hyped
Is Platinum making everything now? How many people do they have doing all of this shit? I didn't think they were that big.

So far they're developing Transformers: Devastation, Star Fox Zero, Scalebound, and now a sequel to NieR.
This is absolutely nuts, I still haven't completely calmed down yet.
How good was Nier? I liked the demo of it on the 360 but I didn't like Drakengard at all which it was apparently a spiritual successor to. Maybe I was too young for Drakengard I dunno but I felt like I didn't know what the fuck I was doing 90% of the time. Never touched Drakengard 2 or 3.

Soundtrack was great, story was good, characters are not bad, gameplay was...eh.
the best part of Nier was Grimoire Weiss and Grimoire Noir. They had such personality, and their VA was amazing.
Title made me think it was a game about Skeletor.
NieR is probably the best thing to come out of Drakengard as a whole. I personally really like the characters and story, along with the design. And now that it's going to have the gameplay to wrap the package up, I'm super excited.

Gameplay isn't anything too special, unless the different spells interest your fancy. The soundtrack is gorgeous, the story has much more depth than it leads on, the characters are all pretty interesting, and overall this game is a hidden gem. It's not perfect by any means but it's definitely something worth checking out if you want something out of the norm.

Weiss' especially. Liam O'Brien knows how to do those deep, fancy voices so well.

Hopefully this sequel is much more interesting than the first one, even though both are great.

Yeah Weiss was pretty damn cool. Also, he voices a character in Skullgirls, I think the snakes that accompany that one character with the snakes.
Holy shit I cannot believe this is getting a sequel. I'm so exited!
This is noway nier to my heart, but I approve greatly.
