You remember that Beatles classic I Wanna Hold Your Hand? Turns out Yoko Ono had other things in mind. Ono’s new menswear collection inspired by John Lennon includes pants with large handprints on the crotch, tank tops with nipple cutouts and even a flashing LED bra. The collection of menswear for Opening Ceremony is based on a series of drawings she sketched as a gift for Lennon for their wedding day in 1969. Ono said she the illustrations were designs for clothing and accessories to celebrate Lennon’s “hot bod.” [t]http://nationalpostlife.files.wordpress.com/2012/11/hoodie1.jpg?w=310&h=465[/t] A black mesh Cutout Shirt ($145), and a black wool with contrast colored white hand Hand Trouser ($335) from Yoko Ono's new menswear collection. Also in the collection are a “butt hoodie” with an outline drawing suggesting its name, pants with cutouts at the behind, a jock strap with an LED light and a transparent chest plaque with bells and a leather neck strap. “I was inspired to create ’Fashions for Men,’ amazed at how my man was looking so great. I felt it was a pity if we could not make clothes emphasizing his very sexy bod,” Ono said in a statement. “So, I made this whole series with love for his hot bod, and gave it to him as a wedding present.” Opening Ceremony hosted a book signing at its SoHo store for Ono for a book that contained the illustrations, and that led to the collaboration to bring them to life. The limited-edition capsule collection, “Fashions for Men: 1969-2002,” launched on Tuesday. “As huge, long-time fans of Yoko’s art, we have great respect for her artistic vision, esthetics, and intellect,” said Humberto Leon, co-founder and creative director of Opening Ceremony. Prices run from $25 for a poster to $200 for a jock strap or $750 for boots with an incense holder or open toes. 250 dollars for assless chaps with a mesh over them? I'll take ten.
God damn, not exactly made for winter time
Can't they just get over it and call it art (not saying it's good art) instead of fashion, which implies it is a piece of clothing that a large number of people want to buy and wear.
boots with an incense holder
What?
Who the hell buys this crap?
Yoko Ono? More like, Yoko Oh No!
I would not want to be seen walking around in that, someone might rape me up the ass..
this is kinda ironic, considering her influence on feminism

You know when people think of high fashion, they don't think of clothes based on the stylish Mad Max apparel line

[t]http://nationalpostlife.files.wordpress.com/2012/11/hoodie1.jpg?w=310&h=465[/t] You can feel this poor guy's dignity plummeting into infinitely negative space. I suppose they should be glad they were paid to wear this crap.
Once again, fashion designers show us they know jackshit about designing practical clothes.
It sucks when you forget to wipe when wearing those ass jeans.
What the fuck man. Does she expect anybody to wear this?
Not only a band destroyer, but a fashion destroyer too!

guys stop being misogynistic assholes they are fashionable and look good okay now that's out of the way. that looks fucking stupid, and kind of ironic that she's a feminist yet makes this.
I can imagine someone wearing one of these while walking into a club, thinking he's cool and hip before getting beat up.
But seriously, you lot should probably read this
At first I look at these and think, wtf... But then I remember that Yoko Ono is a part of the FLUXUS. Which is kind of a neo-dada anti-art movement. So then I calm down. Kind of anti-commercial asthetic. Also, if you think about it, these kind of reflect a feminist perspective of how women's clothing is kind of bizarre. Dress with cutouts and spaces with the only reason to reveal skin and have less clothing on the female body.
Who in their right mind would wear chapless pants in public? What sane person would buy that? Has Yoko lost it?
Who in their right mind would wear chapless pants in public? What sane person would buy that? Has Yoko lost it?
I'm going to guess that some gay people will buy it.
But seriously, you lot should probably read this
most of the people in this thread complaining about how the clothing is not practical likely have no idea what neo-dada actually means and their idea of art is probably along the lines of this: [editline]29th November 2012[/editline] people claiming that fashion is not art is also pretty silly as well
I'm going to guess that some gay people will buy it.
Or maybe Dori apparently
Or maybe Dori apparently
I'm honestly having a giggle fit seeing every single dumb in this thread is by Dori
