That's actually a super impressive feat programming-wise, i'd love to know exactly how they did it.
Well color me impressed.
It's crazy how little people pay attention to how their world model appears, the number of kills I've got through squeaky on cache because of it is ridiculous. In most games featuring prone it's also possible to inadvertently stick your legs through walls and such, especially egregious in Project Reality and the Refractor Battlefields. Not sure I'm a fan of the M4A1 nerf that comes along with it, the AK's still better than both M4s but at least we may see more of the A4 now
Holy shit this is amazing.
This was a huge problem in Counter Strike since the first versions, and it's great that they finally fixed it
They'll still stick out around corners if they're aiming around them, but this is a pretty interesting tweak for balancing's sake. Such a small detail that shaped so many people getting killed because they didn't think to realize they were sticking out. :v:

Maybe they will commit some of this to the 2013 sdk
That's actually a super impressive feat programming-wise, i'd love to know exactly how they did it.
Programming culling is actually quite simple, it's just very low-level programming things (as in it's more shader related rather than main code stuff)
What if the door has a hole in it from being shot apart? Does that culling effect still happen? Still that's a neat little solution for a kinda big problem though.
Maybe they will commit some of this to the 2013 sdk
they had to be pestered to ship a security update. Don't count on it
This makes me want a top down CS that isn't a flash game

I only had to watch it 7 times and read all the posts to notice no clipping.
I only had to watch it 7 times and read all the posts to notice no clipping.
I thought the joke was that the player didn't understand that the door was blocking his path because it was opened? Shows how much I know about CS:GO
