That's fucking great!
Shame the song's a bit flat but given how old they are now I can't say I'm surprised. The 3d animation was naff, but the 2d bits were cool and i loved all the references to other albums. Powerslave, 666, fear of the dark ect ect.
Great video. But it sounds like Iron Maiden hasn't evolved their sound in 30 years. This still sounds Number of the Beast like.
Man that solo is just raw Iron Maiden, hot damn glad to hear they're back

This song does sound like their older stuff, yes, but I have a feeling they're trying to pander to the people who can't take change with it, since so many people gave Final Frontier (and a number of previous albums) shit specifically not for sounding exactly like NotB. Iron Maiden changes quite a lot throughout their albums. This album in particular is supposed to have their longest song ever, something like 18 minutes. I hope the rest of it is better than this song.

I'd even say When The Wild Wind Blows from their previous album is my favourite song of theirs.

I for one really enjoy their post 2000 work, and I hope that they still continue down that path, rather than pander to what is honestly a minority of their fanbase.
Only got into these guys (or any music beyond a superficial level) when I started listening to Pandora a few years ago. Mostly only played Brave New World for a long time. I like their style a lot more than other metal bands from around the same era.
What boggles my mind is that the singer's voice is still basically intact after thirt years.

Some of his songs are actually really, really good.
