Coming off his role on Fox’s The Following, Bacon would return after 25 years to the role of Valentine McKee and the town of Perfection. The cult film about giant man-eating worms, produced by UCP film sibling Universal Pictures, spawned four direct-to-video sequels. Bacon was only in the original pic. It also generated a TV spinoff called Tremors: The Series, which aired for one season on what was then the Sci Fi Channel in 2003. The project falls under Blum’s microbudget deal with UCP inked earlier this year. No network is attached yet, but UCP says multiple bidders are interested in the project.
Hopefully we will also see more of Burt but I like this news regardless.
That's awesome, one more step to making it feel more like the first film. That was by far the best in my opinion.
Though really all they need is Burt Gummer. Even the third film with the fucking Ass-Blasters and the horrific writing and acting and everything was a passable film solely because Burt is a fucking awesome character and Michael Gross is absolutely perfect for the role.
fucking graboids
They better have Burt back.

The small ones that run around appeared a lot in my nightmares
Tremors 5 was actually pretty great and centered entirely around Burt.
The last time they did a series it really wasn't all that but it did have Christopher Lloyd now and then.

I wouldn't say it was great, but it was much better than 3 and 4. Almost on par with 2, which personally I think was even better than 1.
Burt Gummer is the face of Tremors, not Kevin Bacon.
:excited:
My favorite movie of all times has a change to be reborn!
Where's that scene in Tremors 2 where everyone talks about Kevin Bacon not wanting to reprise the role?
Where's Michael Gross?
Where's Michael Gross?
He's been in every movie and the show. If the don't get him in on it, I don't really see the point of them using the IP.
I stopped after 2 because I was scared they would get really bad.
How do you even make a TV series out of this?

They did it once. They'll probably do it again like that but different
I hope Fred Ward gets to come back. He's not a very well known name, but he's one of my favorite actors. Probably because of how much I loved Tremors 1 & 2 when I was a kid.

iirc the syfy channel series was a pretty standard monster of the week type of show with some cheap comedy worked in.
