Dat pole swing hnnnng
I might be being a pessimistic ass, but this gives us nothing. It's just words and dev. maps.
I don't understand why they're talking like they're reviving a long lost classic. "Making Faith for a new generation", the first game came out in 2008, calm down guys.
I might be being a pessimistic ass, but this gives us nothing. It's just words and dev. maps.
they gave us like 30-40 whole seconds of actual gameplay footage which is more than you can say for most of the trailers so far. They did an adequate job of showing us that they were staying true to the original game while adding in some streamlined and improved mechanics. They didn't elaborate very much, but that's because it's still indev.

People tend to bitch about not showing enough gameplay in trailers these days, so they kinda went the opposite direction and showed off rough, raw gameplay to give fans a taste of what has changed without spoiling anything about the game.
Okay I get the game is a lot on the color white, but come on those security guards look ridiculous. The cops looked awesome in the first Mirror's Edge, what's up with the change?

At the very least, the minimalist aesthetic and the gameplay will be intact. Now it comes down to level design, actual art design, and the other elements.
Because it's been 6 years and world moves on fast forward, get over it.
It's a prequel.
I'm really digging how the guards react to getting the shit kicked out of them.
