Set in 1912, BioShock Infinite introduces an entirely new narrative and gameplay experience that lifts players out of the familiar confines of Rapture and rockets them to Columbia, an immense city in the sky. Former Pinkerton agent Booker DeWitt has been sent to rescue Elizabeth, a young woman imprisoned in Columbia since childhood. Booker develops a relationship with Elizabeth, augmenting his abilities with hers so the pair may escape from a city that is literally falling from the sky. DeWitt must learn to fight foes in high-speed Sky-Line battles, engage in combat both indoors and amongst the clouds, and harness the power of dozens of new weapons and abilities.
So, we've joined the Mile High Club now?
Sounds like a shitty plot. Should've just left Bioshock alone.
Isn't Bioshock suppose to have a creepy atmosphere?
Sounds like a shitty plot. Should've just left Bioshock alone.
This is by the studio that made SS2 so it should be as good or better than Bioshock
This is by the studio that made SS2 so it should be as good or better than Bioshock
uh. bioshock 1 was also by this studio?
Good, made by original devs and not in the fucking ocean floor again, I came in to this thread with "meh" but now I'm all "HOLY CRAP @_@".
This is by the studio that made SS2 so it should be as good or better than Bioshock
Sorry but, what's SS2?
System Shock 2
Looks good, the reason Bioshock 2 wasn't that great was because it took a neatly wrapped up package and teared it apart where as this looks like a fresh take on the series.
Looks pretty sweet actually, Ryan failed in the ocean so now him (or someone else) has built in the sky?
Looks pretty sweet actually, Ryan failed in the ocean so now him (or someone else) has built in the sky?
Its a prequel .
Wow, the graphics look really pretty.
It's a cutscene and also who are the enemies going to be it looks like robots and if it's robots well they arn't creepy and since when is daylight in the sky creepy. Hopefully gameplay videos in the future will tell us more.
Looks interesting, I guess
Looks shit. Also I sure do love pre-rendered trailers that serve NO purpose all besides fooling small children into thinking that's what the game will be like, as well as hyping up the shitty sub-par game.
This looks like a good change of pace, I like the open atmosphere, and I think this will be an interesting concept if it can be implemented correctly.
Hey dudes, read the Kotaku link. It explains a LOT more than the trailer does. From what it looks like it's gonna be a parody of good ol' American patriotism, in a creepy way supposedly. Also, it's not connected to Bioshock 1 & 2 plot-wise. Think of it like the Final Fantasy series, one or two games are connected plot wise while most of them have similar gameplay in a completely different setting.
It sure does look more happy and lively than Bioshock 1, where everything was more abandoned. But I think the inside of those buildings look dark and creepy, whilst it's all happy outside. That would be awesome.

Also it's funny that you called it sub-par, where is that crystal ball you used to jump a year into the future to play the finished product?
Looks pretty sweet actually, Ryan failed in the ocean so now him (or someone else) has built in the sky?
This game takes place in 1912, Bioshock took place in the 1960s.
Killzone 2 trailer was CGI and they made the actual graphics better in some aspects.
No. They didn't. Also, I call it sub-par because the first game was a typical FPS with some stupid magic thrown on it, second one was just shitty and I dropped it after 30 minutes.
It's a different setting, but I don't it's going to be that bad. Though I wonder how they make plasmids work without Adam. And I hope we won't fight only robots. Also I got a bit of steampunk feeling from that trailer.
Wow.. this actually looks pretty awesome...
It looks cool. I don't see why anyone should complain.

You don't go into an Portal 2 thread saying that it's a generic puzzle game (which it isn't) so why are you in a Bioshock thread saying that they all suck?
This could be terrible or it could be pretty cool.
Well at least the developers are not keeping with the same atmosphere for their third game.
Looks like pixar animated it for them
Looks a bit silly. Under the sea is way more mysterious than the sky.
