This movie was good. I didn't even know Will Smith had a son until now.

Jaden Smith is also a natural, he'll have a pretty huge career. It's not one the best films I've seen, however it's far from the bottom of the heap.

it was okay, i don't get why people were whining about how the movie is about kung fu rather than karate, the reason they named it karate kid was because it had the same basic plotline and because they wanted to honor the director of the original karate kid.

The moves were pretty cool though.

Went to go see it for free, of course I wouldn't pay for it. It was good, for the most part. The fighting was probably the best part of it all. Some of the jokes were funny. The main actor kid wasn't the best at acting and I caught him looking at the camera once. But he'll get better. Jacking Chan did a great job acting, and I found him oddly attractive. 6/10 Pretty decent for a Karate Kid remake.

It was a pretty decent movie. 8/10.

The reason reviews have been quite positive is because people had quite low expectations of the movie and it actually proved itself fine. If people had super high expectations for this movie, they'd be trashing it right now. Completely mediocre movie. 4/10.

I thought it was quite good. Jackie Chan and Jayden Smith both gave really good performances.

It was less shit than I thought it would have been. I give the film 6.5/10.

Jackie Chan said Jaden worked almost the hardest he's ever worked with anyone on set, he did all his own stunts so I respect that kid. I walked in thinking that kid is a whiny cunt but he turned out to be a respectable actor.

If you watch this movie backwards, it's about a Chinese kid who loses really bad in the first round of a kung-fu tournament, then harasses the guy who beat him until he pussies out and runs back home to America.

I haven't seen it 5/10

It was trying to be too serious. But the movie was okay. The original is completely superior.

Shooting a remake for dummies part 1 : replace the main character with a black kid This pissed me off a lot, a lot of remakes have black characters while the original movie had a white main character (wild wild west, princess and frog (not a cartoon at the origin, but the princess was still described as white), and now this)... looks like some people want to avoid the "omg racism !" critism around...

They should have called it Kung fu kid instead
