• School shooting threat made to entire city
SAN ANTONIO - Though it does not appear to be a viable threat, according to the San Antonio Police Department, local law enforcement agencies are not taking any chances: They are combining their efforts to identify the person who sent an e-mail to dozens of Northside Independent School District accounts. The threatening note read in part, “you won’t see daylights no more, I’m the San Antonio serial killer who rapes, suffers, kills and dig [sic] people.” It goes on to predict “one of the worst mass violence and school shootings” at one of the city’s elementary schools. “They have to act upon it and act like it is a viable threat just because of things that have happened in the past,” said KSAT Crime Specialist Eddie Gonzales. And that is what area law enforcement officials say they are doing: evaluating the message, looking at punctuation, sentence structure, and word usage in an effort to determine who sent the threatening missive. Bexar County Sheriff Susan Pamerleau said her deputies have increased patrols and police presence around schools in the county. “We want to assure parents that our schools and our children are safe,” she said. In a statement issued Tuesday morning, San Antonio police said that information gathered so far leads them to believe “the threat is not credible” and “that it is safe to send your children to school." But the statement added that “parents are encouraged to operate within their own comfort levels.”
http://www.ksat.com/news/law-enforcement-educators-evaluate-school-threat/25606064 [editline]22nd April 2014[/editline] Another article with same topic: http://www.ksat.com/news/school-threat-has-parents-worried/25604692
Sounds like something a "Super villain" would do.
What a cleverly-worded letter.
Reminds me of Die Hard 3, though, I would be surprised if anything actually comes out of it. Probably someone trying to be funny.

They sent out letters to every student and emails to parents but none of the teachers or students at my school are taking it seriously. Sounds like someone just trying to stir shit up.

If one was going to shoot up a school, why would they announce it before hand?
And then the cops arrest some 15 year old home schooled kid
They're saying that it's perfectly fine to not send your kid to school on Thursday but the schools aren't excusing those absences.
saw a shit load of cops on the bus to school this morning they went all out
They're saying that it's perfectly fine to not send your kid to school on Thursday but the schools aren't excusing those absences.
That's sort of silly. If you don't want to come to school because someone made a shooting threat, it should be excused.
it was sent by obama so he could take our guns
Reading the topic here it seemed they weren't taking it serious enough (imo). Reading the news post though, it seems they will, thankfully. It'd be a damn shame if somebody actually WARNS people before he does it, and then doesn't even get stopped because people thought it was "just a prank".
hope this doesn't make some crazy come out of the woodwork who thinks it's god or something telling him to do it through the news.
Heard about this on the news earlier today while I was at work. So many parents got spooked by this and were keeping their children at home while school districts were threatening the parents saying their absences would be counted against them. Although I can understand why the ISD would do that since they believe it's no serious threat, but it's kinda unfair to the parents who just want to protect their children.
