Rep. Steve Smith’s (R) H.B. 2293 would require hospital staff to “reasonably confirm” patients’ status during check-in or treatment, and immediately report those who do not have the required papers to immigration officials.
I get what they're doing from an economic standpoint. But come the fuck on. It shouldn't matter. [editline]28th January 2013[/editline] The GLORIES OF A SUPER MAJORITY STATE GOVERNMENT AND NO GRIDLOCK.
Can The UN please issue a statement about the various human rights problems specifically Arizona has
I guess if they deport them after treating them it's ok, since they are illegal immigrants
I guess if they deport them after treating them it's ok, since they are illegal immigrants
why even deport them really
why even deport them really
because they are illegal immigrants, why else would you deport someone
because they are illegal immigrants, why else would you deport someone
ye but who cares about illegal immigrants why is it even an issue. why go out of your way to send someone away from the country just because they entered "illegally"
ye but who cares about illegal immigrants why is it even an issue. why go out of your way to send someone away from the country just because they entered "illegally"
Wait, are you seriously asking why the USA would possibly have a problem with illegal immigrants? Are you for real?
D'aw what the fuck? "Sorry sir, we can't help your massive sucking chest wound because you aren't actually a citizen. Now stop bleeding on our sheets and leave"
Wait, are you seriously asking why the USA would possibly have a problem with illegal immigrants? Are you for real?
yes why are illegal immigrants less deserving of a life in america than a child born to american citizens [editline]28th January 2013[/editline] if anything immigrants work harder to be american than children born in america so the fact that we send people away for not being "real americans" is kinda confusing to me
They're risking their lives coming here, just to have a chance at something better.
yes why are illegal immigrants less deserving of a life in america than a child born to american citizens
because illegal immigrants normally have to hide away from the system to stay in america, so not giving any benefits but more importantly not getting any from the state which they probably need due to their hiding away, which the state doesnt want to do so it wont(I don't really know how well america chases up expired visas etc though)
because illegal immigrants normally have to hide away from the system to stay in america, so not giving any benefits but more importantly not getting any from the state which they probably need due to their hiding away,(I don't really know how well america chases up expired visas etc though)
ignoring the fact that that really only affects them and not everyone else, why not just grant them citizenship rather than threatening to shoot them on the border so that they CAN participate in the system
ignoring the fact that that really only affects them and not everyone else, why not just grant them citizenship rather than threatening to shoot them on the border so that they CAN participate in the system
most border state peoples probably don't want this and will do everything in their power to stop it
most border state peoples probably don't want this and will do everything in their power to stop it
thanks for the heads up but that's not what i'm asking
ye but who cares about illegal immigrants why is it even an issue. why go out of your way to send someone away from the country just because they entered "illegally"
Give them the option to register. If they fail to do so deport them.
Anyone else realize that illegal immigration is illegal? And on top of that pretty much every country, including Mexico, have laws that make it harder to immigrate (relative to the USA) with actual enforced penalties... If this is a human rights violation (as some have claimed) then literally every country in the world is guilty.
thanks for the heads up but that's not what i'm asking
because they have broken the law and might do it again, if they have a real need to emigrate into your country they can fill out the paperwork and do it legally but they have chosen not to

[editline]28th January 2013[/editline]
because they have broken the law and might do it again, if they have a real need to emigrate into your country they can fill out the paperwork and do it legally but they have chosen not to
breaking a law isn't a validation of that particular law's existence. it's like saying it's illegal to clap your hands because if someone clapped their hands they would be breaking the law and thus would be liable to break the law again. people don't immigrate illegally just for the sheer fun of breaking the law it's because of the ridiculous requirements for citizenship that are levied against new immigrants. make immigration a much less exclusive policy for mexicans and they won't have to come illegally
ignoring the fact that that really only affects them and not everyone else, why not just grant them citizenship rather than threatening to shoot them on the border so that they CAN participate in the system
If you just open the gates and let everybody come into the so called 'land of opportunity' you just suddenly allowed employers to have access to one of the largest, cheapest low-wage group of laborers. I don't care how nationalistic and patriotic employers are in hiring 'those born here' but when immigrants start to come in and you just start granting citizenship like candy from a pinata then people are going to bitch about how they are all taking up jobs.
Fuck my terrible state etc etc etc and so on *sigh*
If you just open the gates and let everybody come into the so called 'land of opportunity' you just suddenly allowed employers to have access to one of the largest, cheapest low-wage group of laborers. If an employer is underpaying them they, as citizens, can make it a legal issue.
ignoring the fact that that really only affects them and not everyone else, why not just grant them citizenship rather than threatening to shoot them on the border so that they CAN participate in the system
A country can only assimilate X amount of immigrants per year. For every illegal immigrant one less legal immigrant can enter. It is unfair to a person living in, say Liberia, who has went through the legal process but can't be approved because the que has been filled with others who didn't go through said legal process. On top of that there's a financial cost of illegal immigration. Illegals typically don't file their taxes (w/o a ssn you can't even if you wanted) and the pose a financial burdon both federally and on individual states- such as Arizona
A country can only assimilate X amount of immigrants per year. For every illegal immigrant one less legal immigrant can enter.
no

I can understand not having the border open, but why go out of your way to hunt people already here?

I'm talking about laborers here.
Because what the fuck does an employer do to 4,000,000 babies in hospitals. I'm talking about laborers here.
those babies grow up to be laborers.. [editline]29th January 2013[/editline] we were all babies at one point you are aware of this yes
