A few days ago some kid got on my server and told me that if I didn't give him Admin, he would shut down the server. Or something like that. So I perma'd his stupid ass. Nothing happened.
So today, another guy got on and told me he would shut down the server if I didn't unban his friend (from above). So I perma'd his ass, and of course, server went down. Obvious DDoS attack.
Anyways it's still being DDoS'd right now, and right when my server was practically full too. How do I shut up these stupid script kiddies?
My server is owned with Xenon. And they're not helping me worth shit.
EDIT: So, this turned out to be a pretty fucking epic thread. The two dumbass script kiddies showed up, turns out they've been doing this before. Read along for more info, I read through it a good times just cuz it ended up being so awesome. The whole thing ends at page 6, anything after that is just posting about it.
Server is working at 100% again.
And I know the difference between DoS and DDoS. Knew it beforehand.
DoS- Denial of Service. One computer. (What we actually had goin' on here)
DDoS- Distributed Denial of Service. Lots of Computers.

It's just something you have to deal with, just let it pass man. There is always gonna be 12 year olds.
Be mature and just shut down the server. Fighting back will just make it worse.

Rolfwaffle is going around DDoS'ing more than one server it seems. One moron named haydenblinkey who posts in the furry sub-forum, is having his community's server DDoS'd by the same guy.
Ludus is associated with rolfwaffle, apparently. He seemed to be involved in the DDoSing of Ironic gaming's server(the community of the aforementioned user)
