[quote]President Abdullah Gul has challenged a ban on Twitter in Turkey after Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan vowed to "wipe out" the micro-blogging service.
Twitter users across the country reported that the site had been blocked on Thursday.
But like many others, President Gul evaded the ban to tweet that the "shutdown was unacceptable."

YEAH! Allegations whilst everyone already knows about the corruption.
I'm happy cause I recognize those IPs!
I head about this on the radio, it was probably the least effective block ever. People just switched to Facebook to tell other people how to get round the block, then switched back to Twitter.
Google DNS servers? What kind of schlocky blockade do they have when all you have to do is change your DNS?
