Thought this was pretty funny
I like this guy
My favorite drink is pizza.
I wonder if there's any money in doing grammatical fixes for companies in Japan or China. Like $20 to proofread and make these saying make actual sense in English or something.

I think if you had experience in advertising and could speak English you might have a better chance of getting hired.
What are your personal defects? A questions for the ages.

If having correct English was actually such a prestige then more companies would probably hire for it.

Japan was amazing.
Japanglish in translated JAV porn titles are probably the funniest examples on the planet. The poor scanlations of the first releases of h-mangas are pretty hilarious too, especially that one where every character talked like Yoda.
Holy shit this guy is Barney Calhoun's lost twin brother.

Direct translation you do if, Japanese literally like Yoda sounds.
EDIT: for proper Japanese grammar that should actually be "You direct translation do"
I find it so baffling that Japan is completely enamored with American culture. I mean, when the start putting borderline nonsense phrases in English on packaging just because it looks good, you know you have gone to far.
I just don't understand what the fuss is about. I live here and I think our culture is quite shit.

Do you ever think they say similar things about America's obsession with Japanese things?

German does that too, when it a subordinate clause is.

Well to be fair, that's a fringe group, whereas it's fairly mainstream to love English in Japan.
Obviously not including people like this guy:

Wonderful sound, strange shape!
i-is that the Turkish flag on the bald eagle's upper arm?
Yes, among the 12 other Turkish flags on that stand. And the guy resting his hand on the stand is also probably of Turkish origin.

Not worth the effort or money probably

i don't think they're strictly coveting americans, considering other countries speak english (i.e. england)
he seems a lot more enthusiastic than in his older videos

But you can't deny that American media has permeated a lot of foreign cultures.

Very true, but apparently from the guy's videos, Japanese people love Britain, especially Harry Potter and London.
Meanwhile, America is doing the same with slapping nonsense Japanese on their stuff.

I can confirm Harry Potter but not London.

I don't think it's about whether or not our people like the culture as a whole, I think it's more about the language side of things.
But yes I find it ridiculous that people are putting cuss words on t-shirts and things like that.
Haven't you ever seen a Döner/Kebab shop? I thought we had already become a global brand.
Guess North America still needs more kebab.
Generally ethnic foods like Kebabs are more prevalent in areas with a high population of that ethnicity. When I went to Chicago and was staying in an area with a lot of Greeks there were Gyro shops literally everywhere in that part of town only.
Japanglish reminds me of restaurants that have foreign people as their owners here. The Finnish in them is sometimes a bit weird, but a bit of thinking usually solves the riddle.
There's a Thai-restaurant close to my workplace that is super-guilty of weird Finnish.
They have written instructions on how much of each food you can take with you if you order a take-away buffet. The instructions are VERY hard to understand. :v:
