Yeah, I have basically exhausted my books of every bit of usefulness, and I am looking to expand. I have searched for a half-decent FREE database of licks or riffs, but I haven't found piss.
try the website http://www.freesound.org/ they get lot of user made riffs
Go get some new notation books.
Download transcripe. It allows you to slow down the songs and see whats happening in solos ect. Transposing solos is the best way to get better at licks/riffs and on top of that is good for your ear. Also use a metronome to get tighter and more efficient rather than all sloppy over the guitar.
Guitar pro?
Get some guitar magazines.
I recommend "Guitar Techniques"
They have new riffs every issue (every month).
A lot of jazz, blues, metal, country licks to be found there :D
