That's how I wanna go.
I have Crohns Disease and when I get a flare up, all the drugs my doctor gives me don't do shit. One bowl and the flare up dies down rapidly. My symptoms disappear. There are studies out the ass to say that cannabis is a really effective drug to deal with Crohns and it doesn't have the nasty side effects that come from the meds I get legally. [editline]8th February 2012[/editline] My doctor even said "you're in college, just go find some weed."
legalise
This is from The Union, a great documentary on marijuana. I suggest you all give it a watch.

I do agree that smoking a little weed can have amazing effects, but do remember there are downsides to everything. I smoked weed all the time for damn near a year. At first recreationally, then medicinally. I used it to calm mood episodes and depression during an onset of some psychiatric complicated mess I had. It was extremely effective I must say. And I will note the onset occurred months before I ever tried weed. But as of the last few months, it really doesn't do anything to me but inspire apathy. I mean fuck yeah I feel awesome, but I have shit to do at the same time. So for me it's a fine occasional thing, but not a daily medicine. Just remember everyone reacts differently to it, and I have a predisposition toward the negative effects anyhow.

Most of FP already knows that Marijuana isn't as bad as it's portrayed and that other legal drugs are worse than it. It also has multiple medical uses. What bothers me is that people who know this often act as if there's no downsides to it. I personally choose not to smoke or drink but my main concern with pot is that its illegal. There's bs penalties for pot possession/usage and sometimes the dealers can be batshit insane.

I can certainly agree to that. It creates a market for illegal marijuana and fuels the prison industrial complex. The former is far worse than the latter, though. The war on drugs has taken a terrible toll on Mexico.
While I don't smoke it myself, I do think that it should be legalized. The effects of it would most likely heal probably 1/3rd of our economy, there wouldn't be so many arrests made over it, and people are fun as fuck to be around when they're high.
I've dealt with the side effects of cannabis as that's what triggered my girlfriend's schizophrenia. That being said, I still fully support legalization.
What are you talking about. Though there are medical uses.

Imprisonment is rather stupid and being in jail for any reason doesn't look good on a resume. Personally I doubt that legalizing pot would end the drug war. Even though its not as dangerous as x drug people would get mad and protest for x drug to be legalized as well because we did it with pot. If it goes on then we'd have a lot more junkies running around. Though if that doesn't happen it certainly would help the war.
If marijuana was legal, I could see myself being a recreational marijuana user.
I think it should be legal, you can kill yourself and ruin your life much more easily with alcohol, yet that is still legal The only concern I have with weed is that it still contains the same carcinogens as cigarettes. I know, every video seems to say cannabis doesn't cause cancer - this is where I get conflicting information

I'm pretty sure it could cause some sort of lung cancer due to smoking it, but besides that I don't really think it does. Only real problem with it that I've seen is the possibility of triggering schizophrenia earlier and stronger.
your doctor sounds awesome
I had to get a physical, and get bunch of tests taken for some shit. I told him that all I do is play games and have sex and he told me that sex was enough exercise to stay healthy and I can play all the games I want and eat what I want as long as I have enough sex.

And you can always make edibles or use vaporizer.

joe rogan is a champ
not true. My friend's cousin once took 2 marijuana and then he get brain damage. Now he lives in an abandoned shed and uses super-heroine and has brain cancer.
my friend ODd on marijuana and died this study is fake
I started at 13, been doing it every day i'm now 20, and I have had no adverse effects from THC. Its the best.
legalise
I agree. I'm not a heavy smoker of weed myself, but I've done mmy fair share. What's the worst that could happen, people stop smoking cigarettes, cigars. Tobacco? As far as I'm concerned that'd be a good thing. From what I've heard, very few if any people have been killed by marijuana. I believe none have to be honest. How many have been killed by tobacco and cigarettes? Millions. I'm sure there are some bad things that would come out of it too, but I wish it'd at least be legal but with limits. Being busted over marijuana is just kinda dumb IMO.
