It didn't have to end like this etc etc [editline]14th November 2012[/editline] He basically goes over all of his views and predictions in this, it's a good watch if you are thinking of becoming a supporter.
"love, compassion, and free market economics" literally rolling on the floor laughing

Call it sad, but hopefully this will help put a nail into this gold obsession, along with overall free market insanity.
Farewell, Ian McKellan.
Ron Paul is a brilliant man with a truly just message. Freedom and liberty should rule this land, not government. It's a shame he's stepping down, as he was one of the very few who were willing to USE their freedom of speech to say the controversial things that need to be said against our power-hungry, self-justified government.
Freedom and liberty should rule this land, not government.
that doesn't mean anything
that doesn't mean anything
Well yeah. It's just another sensationalist buzzword clusterfuck until you hear his definitions and the context he is using them. You can't say anything in a single sentence. He's anti-war on drugs, anti-big brother government, anti-world policing, anti-Keynesian economics, pro-internet neutrality and pro-homeschooling. He holds views which are not always in his own self political interest which shows his empathy for others and his passion for individualist freedom and government transparency. I've never heard him speak before. In fact, I don't even vote because I believe voting is just another way to provide the illusion of freedom while maintain authoritarian control. You go into a room and press the red button or the blue button every 4 years and you think that makes you free? What if both buttons were actually the same? The corporate and political hemisphere is littered with psychopaths, but Mr. Paul seems genuine. Source: I'm a homeschooled, computer science college graduate who watched the entire video in OP. [editline]14th November 2012[/editline]
Ron Paul is a brilliant man with a truly just message. Freedom and liberty should rule this land, not government. They root for their favorite political party like it's a football game. To me, living in an authoritarian government which relies on deception is scarier than living in an authoritarian government which relies on force.
I disagree with libertarian-ism and I disagree with less freedom of expression. People have to realize the consequences though if people have too much freedom, if populist parties rise to power it would be much worse than a slighly bloated government. Small government isn't bad it just has to be executed at the right time in the right way, right now america is filled with stress and recession. Sometimes government isn't a bad thing, but if given too much power it could become much worse than benevolent. Ofcourse voting doesn't matter much, people still get riled up about it like a football game, but no one man out of two is going to change anything. But it's not some dictatorship with our corporate masters all sitting in a circle laughing maniacally at us. Just realize that complete freedom as of yet is impossible to achieve, sure we could all live in a perfect social democratic/libertarian free market wonderland but there is no such thing; even though many try to achieve it on both sides of the spectrum. People are trying to rally around figurehead politicans and people in high up places like humans usually do; but at this point it is not going to change enough to make a difference at the speed things are going down the toilet. I fear the future because these times are tense; society and technology racing like no other and people are still concerned with figureheads in a long old political system. [editline]15th November 2012[/editline] There are a lot of idiots in america right now, and small government, tension, idiocy, economic downfall, are not things that will mix together well.
You're mistaken OP. THIS was the final message.... Why didn't you listen? It's too late.... I could have saved you....
i really liked ron paul note: likeD he says he's against taxes and government growth, which is great and all, but he still wanted to impose a 20ish % salestax in order for the government to be financed... the free market which he support so strongly is fuel for government growth, when the free market produce so much wealth as it does, the government always steps in and loots it. then the economy crash in one way or another. glad obama won, so that when the economy crash is finally coming a leftie will be the guy to blame, and not this bull shit that the free market is the cause for all economical crashes he was truly an astonishing man though, always sticking to his principles.
glad obama won, so that when the economy crash is finally coming a leftie will be the guy to blame, and not this bull shit that the free market is the cause for all economical crashes
Well a lot of the economical crash is coming from the housing market crash and the mortgage crisis that we're still feeling today. That was before Obama, and there's not much he can do about it except hold those responsible who are and make them pay through our legal system (http://www.dailypolitical.com/finance/bank-of-america-nyse-bac-sued-by-federal-government.htm). That coupled with massive government spending, ESPECIALLY for wars that we shouldn't be fighting because they're none of our bloody business, have crippled us as a country. Ron Paul was about taking care of America, tending to our own, and truly balancing our budget. I only hope his message keeps spreading.
