It happened late Sunday morning to an unsuspecting Tucson woman, who had just stopped to grab lunch. In other words, this could have happened to anyone. There are moments in life when you realize, you're never truly safe. "It just never should have happened," said Jane. 9OYS reporter Maggie Vespa asked, "Have you dreamt about it since?" Jane said, "I have nightmares. I don't sleep." One such moment left this woman, who for safety reasons, we are calling "Jane", terrified. It was around 10:30 Sunday morning. Jane stopped for lunch at this Taco Bell drive-thru at 22nd and Wilmot. She waited for ten minutes, got her food and pulled away. That's when the hunt began "And within seconds I hear someone laying on the horn," she said. It was the SUV and the couple behind her in line. Soon they were alongside her. "And there's a black male hanging out the window and he yells, 'You f-ing b****,'" she said As Jane dialed 9-1-1 she lost sight of the SUV and pulled onto a side street, where they were waiting. With a rock the man broke Jane's driver side window. "He then used that rock and hit me on the left side of my head by my ear and punched me in my mouth and nose," she said. The beating left jane with a broken nose and broken teeth. Alone and bleeding, she wondered why. "You don't think something like that is going to happen to you," she said.
Video in the source
Holy shit that's awful.
Imagine ruining someone's mental and physical health over fucking taco Bell breakfast
She pulled off the road and they were already waiting? Why'd she stop in the first place?
How temperamental does one have to be to not be able to cope with a lunch menu instead of breakfast?
How temperamental does one have to be to not be able to cope with a lunch menu instead of breakfast?
No need to ask ourselves rethorical questions, it's obvious they really weren't normal in the head
How temperamental does one have to be to not be able to cope with a lunch menu instead of breakfast?
I delayed a guy 2 minutes once waiting for an opportunity for me to merge onto a major intersection from a gas station and the guy started going berserk. If he had a gun, I probably would have had bullet holes in my car. Some people are just nuts.
How temperamental does one have to be to not be able to cope with a lunch menu instead of breakfast?
Someone who is truly psychotic. Seriously, no sane person would even remotely think to do that even if they had a short fuse. This guy is just sick and should probably be kept far, far away from the public.

OH MY GOD WHAT THE FUCK IS YOUR PROBLEM? WHY NOT JUST FUCKING GO INSIDE AND ORDER YOU DUMB BITCH. I'LL FUCKING KILLL YOU RARRRRGHGHFGHGDHFGH!
Someone must have an amazing case of OCD.
Like a 5 minute drive from where I live. Weird to hear about something like this it's usually pretty quiet.
The article doesn't say, but did this woman possibly do anything to agitate her aggressors?
The article doesn't say, but did this woman possibly do anything to agitate her aggressors?
"Now the article doesn't indicate this at all, but is there any possible way that the woman isn't a victim here?" Maybe you didn't mean to sound like that but it kinda came off that way.
The article doesn't say, but did this woman possibly do anything to agitate her aggressors?
Even if she insulted them nothing excuses physically assaulting her in her car, though I do wonder why she stopped to let them do so
The only thing she did wrong was stop and let them catch her. If I was being chased, stopping would be the last thing I'd do. I'd call the cops and try to set up a location where I could lead my chaser into a trap.
Even if she insulted them nothing excuses physically assaulting her in her car, though I do wonder why she stopped to let them do so
Apparently she drove away and lost the SUV, but they happened to be waiting for her in a side street? How does that work? Did they like tail her to where she was going? Do they have an organized crime presence that allowed that to happen? Did she just get really, really unlucky?

Tucsonan here, can confirm this is not entirely out of the ordinary. Dude's crazy, but so are a lot of people here.

I live around Tucson and this does not suprise me. That part of town is sketchy as all hell.
I pulled into a gas station to fill up my car, and into one spot out of 8 others. I got out of my car and this woman starts honking at me, saying that I stole her spot. As I looked around to 3 other open spots. She started threatening me that she'd run me over, or she'd bash into my car if she didn't care about her car. People are crazy. Even in Canada.
She pulled off the road and they were already waiting? Why'd she stop in the first place?
This entire story sounds sketchy to me. I notice in the article there's no independent proof that this incident actually happened. Certainly there'd be surveillance video of the other car at the Taco Bell or other surrounding businesses right? Here's what I think. She got into it with someone, and she can't let her fiance know who for some reason, so she's playing the "a scary black man attacked me" card.
sounds like an overall pretty pleasant experience for a tucscon taco bell

I ended up pulling an illegal u-turn, which threw him off, sped down and hid behind a warehouse loading bay. It was fucking terrifying.
Really fast food chains are all pieces of shit for having this arbitrary "breakfast cutoff" time. That's why I like Jack in the Box.
in arizona no one is safe

There was someone in a mustang behind me who then started blaring their horn at me for stopping at the red light. They then went around me, flipped me off, ran the red light, and immediately t-boned by a car pulling out of a parking lot. Totaled their shitty mustang, but hardly damaged the SUV they hit. Some people are just nuts and can't wait that extra minute, or are very petty. California and Arizona drivers are certainly the most insane.
