I currently weigh ~59kg with a height of 1.72 meters. My goal weight is to be around 66 kg but the protein supplements I am taking don't seem to be helping. If anyone has any tips on how to bulk, I would greatly appreciate it. Calorie intake per day will also be very helpful.
you have to figure out your calorie intake yourself, count the calories you eat in a regular day then once you've done that post back in here. You HAVE to eat more calories than youre burning to gain weight, it's common sense. drinking one protein shake a day and expecting to build mass is delusional
Mutant mass.
also lifting
Smoke a lot of pot.
Srsly I can eat for days.
I just now started smoking again and I've gained like 5lbs in the past couple weeks.

thats because youre a fat fuck
also protein supplements dont make up much in calories(unless its mass gainers), since a 25g proton shake has at most about 250 cals(assuming you mix it with milk)
you forget the proton coming from the milk you big gooker
Well yea you must eat more than you burn that is true and you need to consume more protein through out the day reason is because your body needs constant food for ur muscle especially if you lift weights, a good thing to eat at night is cottage cheese or i spoon off peanut butter eat this before your bed time, why you might ask well your body grows mostly when your sleeping and it makes sense to keep your body feed even at night, these two foods are slow digesting there for will keep some food in your body and since its slow dijesting it great for keeping the protein in your body for a while. keep working out though lift heavy if you want to gain some mass or do alot of reps if you just want to tone more its up to you. You could also try Creatine Mono hydrate if you need more info over that just ask me. Ohh if trying to gain weight plz say weather it muscle mass your trying to get to or just get fat lol.
Meal timing isn't very important though.
Also saying "Lift heavy if you want to gain some mass" is redundant because you lift heavy regardless of if you're trying to gain strength or mass, with that being said if you want strength, go SUPER heavy and aim for the low rep range, ~1-5, you want mass, go for 6-12 reps with lighter weights. Somethingsomething about myofibrillar and sarcoplasmic hypertrophy or some shit like that, it doesn't matter.
Meal timing and the right food is always important what u talking about.. Timing can be critical too man common un less you fast then ok but if not its critical pluss u still have to get you macronutrients or else u wont gain at all unless u want fat then i suggest u eat alot of junk food go to the store and buy thoes high calorie frozen food and eat like a pig. But for real eating at the right time is important trust me i know what im saying
You have all fucking day to get your macronutrients, only timing required could be before working out so that you have decent energy once you get in the gym, any other time isn't required, you have all fucking day to get the proteins/fats/carbs and the calories that you need.
Saying that timing is critical is laughable, I bet you're one of these people screaming that you need your proteins within 5 minutes of working out or your workout session will be useless this day.
Ok look when u workout it takes three days to completely to recover by eating at the right time you help.your body heal faster and u also get better health benefits for example a good metabolism plus ill prove u wrong with this lets say you only eat twice and within thoes two meals u eat 2000 calories yes u consumed all ur macros but whatbu dont now is that most of the protein vitamis all go to waste because your body can only consume a certain amounts of grams of protien there for ur wasting time and protien and ur messing up ur metabolism all at the same time. Food and timing is one of the keys to help u reach many goals
Oh my god, you're one of those people who seriously believe in the broscience that you can't eat more than X grams of proteins per meal or you're wasting it? Hahahahaahaha.
I'm sorry but no, go do your homeworks, meal timing is irrelevant and you will reach your goals regardless of meal timing or not as long as you hit your macros and calories.
I also can't take you seriously with your name, it's Soldier, not Soilder.

Also did you just call proteins, vitamins? What the fuck.

First of all do u even lift huh and i did not call protein vitamins and if u cant take me serious just dont post nothing else on here.if u mess up ur metabolism your going to end upup gaining fat and timing is critical body can only consume around 25 to 30 i belive so and remeber it 2grams of protien per pound of ur weight so yea waste ur protein away
I don't know, considering over the past 2-3 years that I've lost over 100 pounds of weight and then went on a bulk where I'ved gained a good 10 pounds of muscles so far, I'd say I know what I'm doing and truth is, I eat whenever the fuck I want because timing is simply not critical at all, it's useless.
Your body can consume whatever fucking amount of proteins you give it, your body will digest the proteins be it 30 grams or be it 80 grams, it's not like your body just gives up and makes you shit excess nutrients, that would be real counter-productive to survival.
You didn't call proteins vitamins, you called them and I quote, "protein vitamis".
Seriously, I don't care what you believe, if you choose to believe in broscience crap, go for it. Just don't go spouting that shit on here and misinforming the new people, you're fucking ridiculous. Are you like twelve and believe everything that's been said, do you also suck your protein farts through a straw to get back the proteins you've "wasted"?
Ohhh wow that sounds like roid rage there buddy hmm u probably took some today before ur workout huuu well look all people react different ill admit that what i belive in my not work for everyone butbim dam sure ita the same thing with ur way too so dont be like ohh u dont know what ur talking about or stuff like that because like i said everyone body can you react differently.. I to lost weight and gained muacle mass
Sure, everyone's bodies react differently, we're still all humans though and our digestive tracts are all the fucking same, yourself as an individual simply don't shit out excess proteins, that's not how the human body works regardless of genetics or whatever the fuck else that might make you and me different.
Where's the scientific study or scientific facts? All I see is another retard thinking the same shit as you that made a blog post about it.
The body can not store protein for latter its absorbed unless its something like a thick steak wich is slow digesting wich keeps your body feed longer throughout the day but thats one way. So i still think over doing protein is just a waste not that is bad its just me being more efficient.
[editline]7th August 2013[/editline]
What ever you just cant take it that a 12 year old proved his point wheres yours
Has nothing about efficiency, your body doesn't shit out proteins because it has too much, that's just not how the human body works, if you TRULY have an excess in protein, it will be stored as energy as are all macronutrients. Stop reading shit on Bodybuilding.com, seriously, that place is filled with broscience and unless credible scientific sources are stated, it's probably bullshit.
Anecdotal blog posts does not constitute scientific facts.
Ok show me prove of what u say then ill believe you
I never asked you to believe me, you can keep doing the shit you're doing kid, I'm just saying not to misinform others with your crap.
bruh just eat alot srs
alright serious question now: does it matter if you have a shake right after or 1 hour after or x hours after a workout?
No.
Alright then, I'll drink at home then.
Alright then, I'll drink at home then.
As it's been told for literally almost this entire page, meal timing is pointless, as long as you're eating.
