The effects of that double barrel shotgun are just too good And dem secrets
Oh my god this looks amazing
Ok thats it. I'm preordering this game today.
Game looks great. I love how tense everything is. The music is real frightening
i like how Blazkowicz chooses his first words after years of catatonia extra carefully
That was weird. I know I shouldn't bother with the plot much but [sp]Deathshead first shows huge boner for B.J. and then leaves him to burn[/sp].
thought she was giving him a handjob in the bathtub for a sec this looks a lot like bioshock
First part of the stream seemed a bit generic, but this section with all the nazi monsters looks pretty cool, I always love that stuff in wolfenstein. [editline]25th April 2014[/editline] I don't know whether it will be a good shooter, but it at least looks like it could be a competent one.
That was weird. I know I shouldn't bother with the plot much but [sp]Deathshead first shows huge boner for B.J. and then leaves him to burn[/sp].
probably just taunting
That was humane of the soldier to put the blanket over the man's face before shooting him. It shows he cares :v:
Maybe he didn't want to watch it happen. One of them seemed kind of scared/confused after they shot the doctor. "We're not supposed to purge the staff!" [editline]25th April 2014[/editline] Although, for there orders not including staff, there are a lot of dead nurses and doctors in the level :v:
I'm not that impressed. Graphics look horrible. Textures are absolute shitte, bloom EVERYWHERE. DoF up the friggin wazoo. I'm probably going to get a lot of boxes/flak from this, but the gunplay looks extremely boring as well. It's stylized like Infinite. There's no gumption to the guns, there is no feeling of threat. They literally highlight the areas you have to shoot, in order to beat the only semi relevant threat that we saw in that video. The only threats that seem ... Threatening to you, look like they're in a frigging cinematic, coupled together with QTE's. The only thing that this game has going for it, is the setting it's in. Also the music seems unfitting at certain points, at others, it's dramatic and becomes a tense atmosphere for the most part. Also. Dude is basically stuck in a wheelchair, while time flies by. Picks up a knife, has the ability to puncture a nazi's throat. Then picks up his pistol; "ugh weak legs, feels like spaghetti, numb hands". 2 seconds later, he's running, jogging, and shooting a pistol like a god damn pro. I understand it's an arcade game, but come on. Why even put it in there? Why not just put, "URGH, ME CAPTAIN, ME STRONG NOW, GO KILL NAZI'S". Otherwise? I don't see the point in buying this. Specially not for $60. $40 at max. I hope they do better with Doom 4.
its to muffle the gunshot, prolly because they don't want nearby rooms to get too rowdy or something i dont know
Literally everyone outside was already dead
The reason for the pillow was to block brain matter from spraying out onto his uniform. I fully agree with Covalency. Someone above said the game was "tense". If you can have such a huge quantity of ammo, and the ability to regenerate health up to 80% in 3 seconds. I fail to see how this game is tense, challenging, groundbreaking, or worth the pricetag. The cutscenes, scenery, and characters are interesting though.

Being tense however doesn't have to always apply to the gameplay, can be about the story and the characters. Look at the footage where BJ is on that train and has to choose the cards infront of Engel and the giant mech for example.
Where did you see regenerating up to 80%? it's only a set amount you regenerate. It regens x amount of points (not sure how much) so if you have 70 it'll go to 80 or if you have 10 it'll go to 20 (again, no idea what the amount is)
and the ability to regenerate health up to 80% in 3 seconds.
No it didn't? He Probably picked up a near by Medkit, both this video and the one before it the health only regenerated up to the next 10%.
The devs making this Wolf aren't making Doom 4
If it's anything like what I see in these streams, I'm probably going to pass on it as well. It doesn't look like fun. It looks like repetitive shit. There isn't even a high selection of guns. A wheel spin to select double guns, or single gun. Then it looks like you get grenades, knife, pistol, rifles, and probably a bazooka. Woopity do.

Why would they give all the lightning guns and other stuff right at the start? Doom had you start off fighting two kinds of Zombiemen and Imps on medium difficulty.
Are you really expecting the game to shower you with all the guns in the game before the first chapter even ends? the two streams so far are basically the prologue for the game.
This, and the game is said to be between 10-15 hours long. There are more guns in the game, if you watch any other videos or go to the screenshots part of the official site you will see them
So I'm guess you start out with normal 1960s guns and slowly get upgrades that make them into lightning guns towards the end?
Yeah really gives off a Bioshock Infinite vibe in the tone and sound design. But yeah I think the graphics look really uneven.
the shotgun sounds are a bit weak.
I love how I'm getting so many dumbs, without any sort of rebuttal to my comment. I mean, I'm not on a bandwagon of hate. I seriously think this game has no values that should make it GOTY, or even a nomination. Either than the amount of effort that went into making it, which is presumably a lot, there are A LOT better looking corridor shooters. This is looking exactly like one, so why does it look like absolute trash in terms of quality? The textures, the excessive amount of bloom, the horrible, HORRIBLE depth of field that makes your eyes hurt. It's not even bokeh, it's like a horrific blur filter applied from photoshop. The Witcher 2 had amazing textures, Metro 2033/Last Light had extremely well done textures for a corridor shooter, and a shitload of varying weaponry. It probably had a smaller budget than this as well. This whole game is just riding on the coattails of the Wolfenstein trademark that we all knew was great for its time, but it should have been buried.
But people did give you rebuttals.
They gave me sentences saying; "It has these weapons". That's it. Weapons don't make a game.
