I'd also love criticism and pointers.
It's a good start, I'm sort of in the same boat collecting up past things I've done; just takes time accumulating then picking your very best work to showcase. What I've been doing was trying to do logo designs for websites I regularly visit. And sometimes go to the musicians corner and ask around if anyone needs any band logos / album art. Also getting together with a good web coder that knows nothing of design, would be a good match, if that is something you're interested in doing, it will get you some pretty nice freelance work on the side, as well as portfolio material.
Hey man, my friend made a Clan (I didn't know clans still existed, I thought they were called communities now, but I guess I was wrong). He is interested in getting a free logo for his clan, and you offered so I figured I should see what you can do. The clans name is "The Cool Cat's Club!" and he is interested in getting rather simplistic yet cartoony drawing of a cat ([URL="http://i.imgur.com/p84zE.png"]The cat should look like this as it his cat[/URL]) with a top hat, a monocle and a pipe. It then reads "The Cool Cat's Club!" somewhere on it. Be creative with it though. My friend would really appreciate if you did this for him. One last thing is he want's it to be to be a square shaped picture so it works as a Steam avatar fine.
