The panel included Virginia Senate candidate Ed Gillespie and a panel of Republican political strategists: Jason Roe, Elroy Sailor, and Robert Woodson. The panel delivered a remarkably pointed review of GOP voter outreach (largely its failures) and explained, in very straightforward terms, how the party can (and must) do better. If you're any type of minority and you vote GOP then you're a huge idiot.
That's embarrassing. And telling at the same time.
To be fair though, let's just play devil's advocate here. Maybe minorities that vote Republican wanted to come, but because they knew it'd be a media frenzy and that their friends would disapprove of them voting GOP they didn't go?
The moderator, Jason Roe, said one of the problems Republicans have with attracting poor minority voters is that Democrats like to give them handouts while Republicans don't. Sailor said that one of the frustrations he's seen is that Democrats have lots of "goodies to offer." "Our guys aren't exactly in the offering goodies business so it's harder for us to go in and say what can we do to help the African American experience," Sailor said.
na they just don't have any image with minorities other than the guys on TV saying "we need to cut their benefits!" the republicans have a serious image problem and reputation problem with the minorities, even though they used to be the party for the minorities, it was the shift in the 1920s to counter the progressives that brought big business into the party and caused the shift away from minority issues, then the south switched sides and the republicans were doomed to be shut off from minorities, the religious votes only helped reinforce this. they could really start tackling this by shifting libertarian in their stance on civil liberties and it wouldn't really dent them, but they won't so they will loose minorities and the increasing millennial vote
If you're any type of minority and you vote GOP then you're a huge idiot.
Not if you're a rich motherfucker. Then you're included as an honorary member, you know, the obligatory token minority to prove that conservatives are so-not-racist.

This is like staring at a giant red wall and going "it's blue, isn't it?" levels of obliviousness.
Republicans don’t necessarily have to change their values. They have to change how they talk about the issues and who they talk to.
In other words, be a better bullshitter.
The republican party is dying And that, my friends, gives me a semi.
The republican party is dying And that, my friends, gives me a semi.
I too love single-party politics
The republican party is dying And that, my friends, gives me a semi.
Hold your boner there friend! The death of the GOP, if it happens, isn't going to lead directly to Scandinavian Social Democracy Heaven. In fact it's quite likely said death would reinvigorate the right and bring something even more hardline to the forefront, or be replaced with another right wing party of similar views to fill the void.
The republican party is dying And that, my friends, gives me a semi.
Kind of disappointing how the Democratic party didn't die off sooner, mostly due to suppression of the republican vote post-reconstruction in the south, but the death of the GOP might mean the Democratic party will split in two in a similar fashion to the separation of the Democratic Republicans of old.

That's what killed the republican party. It's likely you might see something a little closer to center, with the complete nutjobs joining the completely useless tea party.
Not likely. That's what killed the republican party. Without the Republican party, the Democrats would no longer have any reason to appeal to voters by going farther left, and all the reason to openly appeal to their corporate donors even more than they do now.
I too love single-party politics
Other parties will fill the void. Personally I'd prefer a zero-party system where people vote on the beliefs and values of the individual candidates instead of their party preferences, but that'd be difficult for the majority to accept.
If you're any type of minority and you vote GOP then you're a huge idiot.
If you're any type of rich person and you vote for the Democrats then you're a huge idiot.
If you're any type of rich person and you vote for the Democrats then you're a huge idiot.
Maybe if you're a greedy douchenozzle.
If you're any type of minority and you vote GOP then you're a huge idiot.
Many racists are Republicans, but that doesn't mean the entire party is racist. Not a Republican by the way, actually pretty far left for US politics. What you're saying is just really generalizing.
If you're any type of minority and you vote GOP then you're a huge idiot.
So I'm a huge idiot for being yellow and siding with red. K.
That was the system during the French revolution I'd like to add the French revolution was not a good time to live if you had any sort of political opinion or knew anyone who had them.
That wasn't because of them not having political parties, that was because Robespierre and the Committee of General Security were paranoid and crazy and made it so anyone even accused of being a counter-revolution conspirator was executed.
So I'm a huge idiot for being yellow and siding with red. K.
I think the point is that as a minority, siding with a party that likes to restrict and otherwise control you is a pretty stupid idea.
I think the point is that as a minority, siding with a party that likes to restrict and otherwise control you is a pretty stupid idea.
Which is what they side with now.

The Republican party can win. They don't need to win minorities. They just need to rile up the gun owners who would have otherwise already voted for them.
The Republican party can win. They don't need to win minorities. They just need to rile up the gun owners who would have otherwise already voted for them.
Keep stuff like that in your ass, gun owners aren't a majority of their support or anything
does this mean i should vote republican because im a majority
So I'm a huge idiot for being yellow and siding with red. K.
Yes. [editline]10th March 2014[/editline] [sp]Joking[/sp]
