Police are investigating the suspicious death of a woman in Belfast City Centre.
The body of the 49-year-old was found in the Cathedral Quarter area of the city on Friday.
A PSNI spokeswoman said detectives are investigating "the suspicious death of a 49-year-old female in the south Belfast area".
From the scene, UTV's Peter Cardwell said forensic officers and police attended the scene in Hill Street.
THERE IS NO MORE SUSPICION
A post mortem examination has now been carried out.
In a statement on Saturday the PSNI said: "Police no longer consider the death suspicious.
"The cause of death has not yet been established and police will continue to investigate this alongside the coroner's office."
That's the most generic headline I've read all year.
the news: someone died
Title should be SOMEONE DIED IN MY TOWN
Are there no women in Belfast so that finding a woman is noteworthy?
It shows though how desensitivised we've become.
I mean, this is big news to whatever relatives that woman has.
Police: "Death is no longer suspicious."
Me: "So how did she die?"
Police: "No idea."
shouldve been a breakyourfac thread
can we please stop with bfy jokes they aren't funny

Not really. It's impossible to care about everyone even if you're a caring person.

When a death is no longer considered suspicious, that just means they know whether they've been murdered or not. The continued investigation helps to determine an exact cause.

I could be wrong though. I normally am.

I think it's similar to MGS, if you hide long enough, the police just go back to whatever they were doing before.... As if nothing happened.
