He looks like Dotcom. Did he get laid tho?
http://thebestpageintheuniverse.net/c.cgi?u=dancing_man

http://thebestpageintheuniverse.net/c.cgi?u=dancing_man
Imagine a forum full of people racing to snipe a thread with someone else's opinion.
It's not a snipe really, it's just that the guy on that page summed it up perfectly. I didn't even notice the guy above posted the same link (because I was busy looking for it). Oh right I already called on this BS the first time this news appeared http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1454695&p=47278481&viewfull=1#post47278481
Can someone give a tl;dr of that link? Every time this dude crops up, people post it, but fuck actually reading all of that.
Can someone give a tl;dr of that link? Every time this dude crops up, people post it, but fuck actually reading all of that.
No proof guy was actually shamed in real life, some evidence he may not have been very eager to have been found, motivations behind the "movement" are more focused on throwing a party than any interest in this guy's well being.
Nothing is like a great fucking party. Nothing. Just reading his story gave me shivers - The party looked absolutely amazing. Good on him, cheered me up alot.
Can someone give a tl;dr of that link? Every time this dude crops up, people post it, but fuck actually reading all of that.
Basically it's Maddox criticizing the people that decided to make this party for the guy with the excuse that they did it in order to make the guy feel better and to discourage this kind of bullying, even though they did it just to become more relevant and ''heartwarming''. I can agree with him, especially since most of the points he raises ( like the fact that the party was originally supposed to have only female guests, as if they knew his sexual orientation ), and while he may be a bit blunt on some issues, I can see perfectly why he perceives this event as nothing more than an attention grab.

They say he was bodyshamed on 4chan but [thumb]http://x3.cdn03.imgwykop.pl/c3201142/comment_G4ztjybXbmbbaxifikNYF7Azzj0FWHvc.jpg[/thumb] I'm not seeing a lot of that here.
The entire thing felt a bit patronising towards him really Although he seems to have taken it well
Tbh. Meeting famous celebs and partying at the hottest club in Hollywood and it only kinda "feels" patronising is okay with me lmao must have been a fucking blast
why do so many people care about some random fat guy looking sad?
I danced at a party once, and people laughed at me, and I just kept dancing. i didn't get invited to any more parties
He seems very happy and positively moved by the initiative (check the interviews), and there were a large amount of donations made to anti-bullying charities because of the event. There was a good party, everyone had a great time, it got loads of money for charity, and it set a positive example. That's really all that matters.

Dude is still basically stuck in the edgy teenager phase
Tbh. Even if it was the biggest party in the world with tons of hollywood stars I would feel alone.
If by "blunt" you mean a giant asshole, yeah. Dude is still basically stuck in the edgy teenager phase
I wouldn't call him a giant asshole, because he never actually attacks the guy that got the party, or even those that organized it. Sure, everyone presumably had fun at that party, but you can't just let aside the fact that 90% or so of those celebrities came there primarily to have people see them as ''morally superior'', not to mention that they did kinda go too far in trying to look all nice and generous, I mean, like Maddox says in the article, the guy did try to keep a low profile, and all those celebrities were shining all the lights on him ( and their cause ), even if he wasn't really comfortable with that.
why do so many people care about some random fat guy looking sad?
People care about having a positive self image and by "helping" this guy they can feel better about themselves.

The whole fucking party was about him, i wouldn't be suprised if he got a ride in a limo and walked a red carpet into the club with women and celebs surrounding him.
http://thebestpageintheuniverse.net/c.cgi?u=dancing_man
Sooooo much this. I mean in the end yay, he did turn out to get a bonus party, but still, Maddox sums the whole thing up very well.
There are still pictures of me out there on the internet looking like a fucking idiot because I was offered a drink by a friend and he had apparently put MDMA in it or some shit. I was happy as fuck for a reason I dont remember and I usually never have the confidence to dance, so I looked more like The Thing getting incinerated by arctic researchers while tweaking.
More importantly, the title's calling him an it. :v:
More importantly, the title's calling him an it. :v:
because the dancing man isnt a person, its a phenomenon
Are we supposed to throw a party for every self-conscious fat guy in the world now? It was actually really good that, atleast according to the post, he was aware of his fat kinda getting in the way of his life. Maybe he would've even grown to change that and get fitter, healthier had the world not cried him a river. I'm not saying we should outright burn him at the stake for trying to have fun at a party, but being fat is not something to be glorified with lots of bangin' famous women and parties.

Am I the only one who noticed the OP called him an "it"?
DIdn't the guy say he didn't want a party or something? I don't know, I feel like this whole thing seems less about the man himself, it's actually a little objectifying almost
