That's fucking stupid. If anything he should have been rewarded for turning them in, I can see quite a few moral problems with giving out rewards for that kind of thing, but at the least a fucking fine is stupid as shit and shouldn't happen.

They are actually stopping the vehicles with barricades and cut holes into them to get in. The police doesn't appear to do enough against it from what I read about this so far, either.

His truck was broken into, how is he supposed to keep it locked? Weld it shut? I got a feeling nothing is going to happen until someone dies here, and it feels awful.

He doesn't have to pay the fine. You can't recognize something that irrational.

This is one of those things where someone has to die before it gets more attention and fixed, nice going.

Not paying a fine will lead to more severe punishment like forced seizure and sale of goods and in the worst case, face Imprisonment.
