That's a long weekend
I misread "run" as "nun".
That would have been a fair bit worse.
Well, now he gonna spend rest of his life, there.
Good riddance.
bet that judge felt like an asshole

Smart judge.
I wonder if it was worth running for 35 years then just taking his jail time.

a life sentence?
a life sentence?
Isn't life sentence 25 years?
A rapist, huh?
Why did it have to be that crime? Being on the run for 35 years and having a cool Judge and everything.
A rapist, huh?
Why did it have to be that crime? Being on the run for 35 years and having a cool Judge and everything. I would feel comfortable knowing his crime was a pure man to man manslaughter brawl with a bad ending, a long time ago, and no other offenses since or before then. Might as well let him go free at that point.
But a rapist huh..
What's your point? It didn't have to be rape. It just was. It doesn't matter if there were 'better' crimes he could've commit. They don't change the crime he did commit.
yeaaaah, he sure looks like a rapist.
I don't see the point in arresting him now if he didn't do anything in that time! He's completely different!

Nevermind he raped like 3 people using knives to threaten them and he's ugly too

From the article.
I never knew that a Serial Rapist was a thing :v:

I checked the local one once because I was curious.
Male seeking female x300
Even in the female seeking males sections...
Isn't life sentence 25 years?
I am sorry, but why are you dumbing me? I looked around and a life sentence is 25 years.
I wonder if it was worth running for 35 years then just taking his jail time.
He probably didn't know he'd be on the run for 35 years.
he should have been set free

for the most part it's more about domination rather than sex, they rape people as a way of saying they're superior
I am sorry, but why are you dumbing me? I looked around and a life sentence is 25 years.
In most cases, 25 years is when people committed to a life sentence are eligible for parole.

We're dumbing you because you said something dumb. A life sentence is just that. Life. You're sentenced to spend the rest of your life in jail. Being eligible for parole at 25 years doesn't mean it's a 25 year sentence because there's absolutely no guarantee you'll actually get paroled.
better luck next time

it's technically not a life sentence though unless the judge deems no chance for parole.
really i never considered a "life" sentence to be that. just one of the worst outcomes that could happen in a court. probably the worst, as a sentence to death is much more cherry than a hardcore "life" term.
don't people who get death get put on death row where they're completely isolated? so basically not only are you simply going to be put to death instead of just waiting around to die, you're also less at risk of getting raped, or having inmates go down on a shanking session that leaves you alive but much worse off than before.
i dunno why the death sentence even exists... lol they get you high before they kill you for fucks sake.

What?
also i agree with other people in this thread.
this guy was out in the world for 35 years. couple that with the fact that rapists tend to not stop raping as it's a compulsion and most rape victims never admit to it and/or report it and.. well.. squick :(
