I always wondered why the majority of car crash footage is from Russia. Is it because they actually drive really bad or is there a reason why many cars have cameras installed?
inb4 shitton of posts about how bad is russia at driving. Everyone else is good at driving just because you dont have fucking dashboard cams.

More people have dashcams, which means there will be more footage of crashes.
I think I should get a dash cam
Mainly because the last time I was in a car accident the guy slammed on his breaks in front of me and it was a pain in the ass to try to explain this to my insurance

Driving in Russia is pretty bad. Like most other nations, no one actually follows basic driving rules. Like YIELDING TO ONCOMING TRAFFIC. It seems like a lot of accidents occur because people try to pass slow moving vehicles (or tractors on the road) on busy roads.
You'd think that drivers who knew they had a dashcam installed wouldn't drive like fucking idiots

Most of these are caused be people driving like assholes. (i.e. trying to pass a giant column of cars or trying to pass a car that is passing another car)

Get a ordinary digital camera and rig it to record when the ignition is on.
So many of those could be avoided if the driver waited Five seconds.

I noticed that quite a few of these crashes happened because, rather than slowing down to let someone pass, they sped up to try and get by them.
Most of them had accidents because they forgot about using their breaks.

Nobody drives much because the traffic lights and billboards give everyone seisures.

High speed doesnt really matter unless you got crappy tire or slippy road, i usually go to 195-200 kph on a road to get at a small town, and speed is limited to 90 kph.
My corolla stay pretty stable even at this speed, but a crash is a certain death.
