According to a report by China Daily, two government officials confirmed a South China Morning Post report last week which revealed foreign game console makers would need to get approval for specific product models, before these can be sold and promoted on the Chinese mainland. Regulatory approval is required to ensure game content are not overly violent and politically sensitive.

i had no idea they couldnt be sold in china
Well, you COULD still get ahold of them at grey markets (authorities turned a blind eye to them) at a higher cost of course
Their censory laws will reduce the amount of games available drastically.
I wonder what this means for iQue, i.e. will Nintendo keep using them for 3DS or drop it and switch to Nintendo 3DS. By the way, the iQue 3DS has literally just two games: Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7. That's it. :v:

Good, everyone should be able to play video games if they want to.
I hope western products become more popular in China.
China has been generous!
