The researchers said: ‘Employees who are less satisfied at work may tend to become more bored and, in an attempt to make their work more enjoyable, they may opt to flirt with colleagues.’ The second study examined whether men who flirt are somehow different to other males. The results showed lower emotional intelligence – a measure of how well we understand others’ emotions and control our own. ‘Men who were bad on that kind of regulation flirted more,’ Dr Banks said. I can see it being more "seeing if they still got it" than boredom. Depends on the age group. Younger ones are probably searching all options.. I mean hell if you magically found the girl of your dreams that way then there ya go. There's always intention behind it.

I've worked before. Sometimes people are more appealing in that situation because yeah it does suck sometimes. Most of the time. You find anything you can to have fun with it. Feelings inside of the workplace are usually totally irrelevant to how I feel when I'm on my time. I think patrice o'neal does a joke about this, it may be someone else, but the bit was something about picking up bitches somewhere where they have a uniform, and they're really interesting and appealing when they're in their work clothes, but then you see them in normal clothes and suddenly they're completely uninteresting and all you want to do is get away from them. I've had it happen to me before, you think 'hey this person could be really cool, how about we chill' and then it turns out they're not cool at all, they were just the most interesting or stimulating thing in possibly the most uninteresting place of your life, which isn't hard to be.

I flirt with colleagues but I've no intention of sleeping with them. A polite courteous flirt can really make someone's day and make your own less tiresome.

I feel that girls as work colleagues tend to be a lot more casual and not as on edge as they otherwise might be. It feels a bit like women on their free time tend to treat every guy who talks to them as a potential suitor trying to get laid, while women at their workplace tend to be more casual since they no longer assume you're only talking to them as a potential suitor trying to get laid.

Why is it all ways men, I find women to be way worse when it comes to them flirting.
