I'm in foster care and I can't stand the fact that dhr has so much control over my life. They took me from an awful situation when I was 8 but it's been 10 years now and they still won't let me go. I've been moved at least 10 times. And it is extremely hard to find a foster home that will take an 18 year old. I can't handle one more move! My brother hated foster care too. Is there anyone out there who's ever been involved with dhr?

wtf you're an adult, you can leave any time you want. unless you're mentally ill and are being held by law.
I'm presuming that he doesn't have a job and would therefore be unable to afford housing.

I was actually also part of a foster care family for a bit when a family member of mine went overboard with her drinking problem.
I spend a few months there and it was absolutely shitty. I kept waking up at a weird time at around 5:58 every day of every morning.
Anyways, I don't know your story completely but I have to tell you to start looking for a job and start getting your own money. I'm younger than you and already found work.
