Without the connecting and straggling hairs, it looks like a fake beard glued to his face. A normal beard actually has some form of perimeter hair where the hair density thins out gradually into bare skin. This, though, is some kind of unholy and uncanny combination of mega-neckbeard and clean-shaven.

I'm gonna say something that I would normally not say because it would kick up a shitstorm but bear with me here, what you've just said amounts to:
"But every brony constantly shoves it on their friends and talks about clopping to an unhealthy degree"
I'm gonna guess you disagree with that statement, and if you don't, well, may god have mercy on your soul for associating with those people. The point however is that what you said is an incredibly douchey generalization about people who bandwagon onto something, the difference being that people with autism (that have been tested and diagnosed with it, not internet diagnosed themselves) can not leave that grouping because it's a part of them. What you're talking about are the dregs of the people who claim to have autism, the ones that use it as an excuse to be antisocial and may or may not have been diagnosed formally, and believe me, many people do not TELL you they're autistic or have aspergers because of the connotations it brings up. Because of this you don't hear about most of the cases.
