Bungie just released a hour long documentary about their company since it's their 20th.
Better make it before Activision kill your company, anyhow this looks like a good watch. Finished watching, that was real nice.
Beautiful
I like how they pretty much acknowledge that Halo 2 was a piece of rushed ass, they were just lucky everyone liked it. I've always loved Halo but Halo 2 is just a gigantic lump of shit. I played through that game once and put up with the multiplayer until 3 came out. Halo 3 is what Halo 2 should have been.
i liked halo 2 lots :(
Ah damn.. brings me back to my old halo obsession days.. I can see why i was so obsessed
I shed a manly tear. [sp]it wasn't really that manly[/sp]
Oh god dammit I have work to do. Oh well.
It's been a while since Halo appealed to me, but holy shit that announcement trailer music for the third one still sends massive chills down my spine. Oh and I'm really excited for what they're doing next - it better be something completely different.
I'm excited to see what Bungie can do next. It better rock my cock off.
lol, totally brought me back to the days of sleeping over at friends houses and playing Halo the entire night.
Valve better do something like this.
That was beautiful, first time I ever enjoyed watching a documentary.
I miss the days when you saved your pocket money for doritoes, dip, sweets cans of coke and had 8 guys over, one bringing a little TV and his xbox and someone else bringing a system link cable and just staying up till 3 in the morning shooting the shit out of each other. Young naive days of joy.
Bungie seems like such a nice developer and their games look brilliant, only if they were on a platform other than the xbox 360 I would be able to give them my money and enjoy their games
Awesome, now make another Marathon Bungie
I don't care what videogame hipsters say bungie is a great company. Every time they make a new ip it brings something new to a genre.
I don't care what videogame hipsters say bungie is a great company. Every time they make a new ip it brings something new to a genre.
they haven't made a new IP in 10 years
they haven't made a new IP in 10 years
And anything BEFORE that was unknown Apple software. And he's calling US hipsters? Halo 1: This is GREAT! Halo 2: Didn't own it. Halo 3: Wow. This is dumb as shit! Where's the plot? Halo Reach: Damn son! This is GREAT!
Halo 2 is my favorite game of all time, somehow the shitty textures and glitches made it even better. [editline]4th August 2011[/editline] No game today would be able to get away with that nor would they dare. [editline]4th August 2011[/editline] Also they recognized that they "sold their souls" to microsoft, it's when they had to rush halo 2 and fund shitty low-tier projects like Halo: Waypoint, etc.
I've always loved Halo but Halo 2 is just a gigantic lump of shit. I played through that game once and put up with the multiplayer until 3 came out.
Halo 2 was my favorite halo of all time. Not only was there more story then any other halo game but every level felt different and the mutiplayer was unlike anything on the console. I think it was the first videogame to ever make me fall in love with its universe. [editline]4th August 2011[/editline]
Halo 2: Didn't own it. Halo 3: Wow. This is dumb as shit! Where's the plot?
Well that was mainly because the plot was in halo 2. Halo 3 was just to finish what halo 2 started.
Oh man I laughed when the guy mentioned Azurik... That was a great nostalgia trip, I never played ODST and got bored of Reach though.
So, their next thing is probably gonna be some sort of sandbox-y, mmo-y type thing? That talk about it being more the fan's world than their world leads me to believe it's at least gonna have some sort of creative input from players, with little or no input from the creators after a certain period of time after the game ships.
I fucking love the Halo soundtracks. I always keep playing music from Halo in my head.
I wonder how the series would have turned if they had not sold their souls to Microsoft.
I wonder how the series would have turned if they had not sold their souls to Microsoft.
It would be for mac and only mac gamers could play it. Either macs would be known for videogames or halo wouldn't be popular. well I guess there would be the possibility for multiplatform release later though.
I can honestly say Halo 2 is the funnest game I have ever played in my life. The glitches, the storyline my 12 year old brain struggled to understand, the multiplayer was fucking perfect, and it never got old.
Can't wait to see what Bungie is actually working on now.
Halo Reach and Halo 1 is my Favorite imo Halo 2 felt like a complete mess to me ( I don't want to play as a fucking arbiter stop giving me these shitty missions no one wants. Oh god you fucking end on a cliffhanger like that?) and Halo 3 was Better but it wasn't as good as the first. I wasn't a Fan of ODST either, but then again i might have to play it again to like it (wasn't really focusing first time around)
Strangely enough I didn't like reach that much (I'm probably the only one) I mean from a gameplay side it was great but what I was looking forward to was the story and it didn't really have anything that I didn't already know about the universe. I guess i'm just the only one who likes halo for the universe more then the gameplay.
