Ed Miliband, Nick Clegg and Nigel Farage have written to Mr Cameron saying it would be "unacceptable" for the prime minister to refuse to appear. Mr Cameron has said he will take part only if the Green Party is included. The leaders said they would call for an empty podium to be provided "should you have a last-minute change of heart". But Downing Street said its position had not changed, insisting any multi-party format must include the Green Party.[/quote]
Cameron just hopes that the Green Party will splinter Labour. Might be a stupid question, but how could the Green Party (of England and Wales) even be considered for a spot in the debates, given that they are a local/regional party that only hosts candidates in England and Wales? I know that Scotland and Northern Ireland have their own green parties too, but they are separate entities from the GPEW. Isn't this the same reason the SNP isn't eligible to be in nationwide debates?

Although I'm pretty much convinced at this point that it'll be a conservative government in England and a crushing majority for SNP here in Scotland. And also because if memory serves the greens are actually doing better than UKIP and for some reason UKIP are getting into the debates whilst the greens aren't, doesn't really matter though because for the foreseeable future the greens will continue being absolute trash.
I would like to see the Greens there just to balance UKIP, even though I don't really like them.

I remember when all major policies were compared between all parties anonymously to the public and the Greens won outright, so, I would be more than willing for them to become more mainstream.
The Greens are nobody. Cameron is simply being stupid for the sake of it.
Europe is watching you. Please behave. PLEASE.

Plus they want to ban GM crops, ban synthetic chemicals in food, ban research into cloning, getting rid of farming machinery, and switching to organic farming; which is inefficient and less healthy. Of course while 80% of the greens policies are reasonable, the rest are dogshit.
I would desperately want the Greens to win. It's always labour/conservative, or some republican/democrat bullshit in the UK and the USA. Do we not have a high power in the UK that allows us to say to a party, "Sorry but you're fucking retarded you're disqualified from this election"?
