Me and a friend started playing this again the other week, though he couldn't get the current patch to install properly, so I had to reinstall it and run it unpatched. Was still fun though, and there were plenty of servers.
Also, when I bought the game, I bought the complete collection package (BF2, Special Forces and both booster packs). I still had to download the two booster packs though, so I used the shortcut to the ea store, entered my serial. It then said something along the lines of "Sorry, we have since upgraded to the new EAstore, please go there to access your content".
I went there, logged in. No mention of my booster packs. Tried entering my serial into the new store, "This serial key has already been registered". Well, fuck.
Thankfully this patch will fix that for me. And hopefully my friend will be able to install it too.
I still play BF2 PR everyday. cant wait for the free booster packs wich i bought but didnt work.

your friend needs 1.41 installed or 1.50 won't work

Fuck yes, snipers aren't safe from my knife's blade anymore.
This will definitely kick more life into the game with the free boosters, I wonder if they'll do the same to BF2142.
