I'm not going to say much, as I have exhausted my fingers writing about the death penalty. My opinion regarding the Israel/Palestine conflict is quite controversial though. I say both sides have a lot to improve. Palestinian terrorists fire sad, little rockets into Israel on a daily basis. As a result, the Israelis become so intimidated that they retaliate with a proper military response. As a result of this, civilians die. Media covers the side of the conflict where the large amount of people die, hence the Palestinians gain support, at the cost of their own civilian citizens. Palestinian civilians are the victims of Palestinian military heads' plots. This is, however, merely a theory based on a book. So, anyway, do you guys think the Palestinians have a right to a state? You think Israel are acting properly? Or Palestine? Do you think Israel are in a position where, if they lay down their weapons, they will be attacked by Egypt, Jordan and Syria again? Do you think Israel should be allowed to occupy parts of the West Bank to be able to defend itself by holding the Jordan valley, or should it return to the 1967 border? DISCUSS!
Don't make a thread on such a broad topic. Be more specific, an example would be "Flotilla raid" (not really relevant anymore though) or "Palestinian Statehood request at the U.N" are much better alternatives. Seeing as we already have an Israeli-Palestinian thread below wouldn't make sense to keep both unless that was merged with this.
