Kim Jong-un assassination plot: North Korea claims US tried to kill leader in May
NORTH Korea has accused the United States of being the “main culprit behind terrorism” and claims the US tried to take out Kim Jong-un in May this year. The secretive state, which often makes outlandish statements, claims the “main reason international terrorism is not yet annihilated” was actually because of US interference.
The statement, published on Friday by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), the country’s main propaganda mouthpiece, claimed it foiled a US-backed attempt to depose of Kim earlier this year.
It goes on to accuse Washington of using the war on terror as a pretext for overthrowing hostile governments.
“In May this year, a group of heinous terrorists who infiltrated into our country on the orders of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) of the US and the South Korean puppet Intelligence Service with the purpose of carrying out a state-sponsored terrorism against our supreme headquarters using biological and chemical substance were caught and exposed,” KCNA wrote.
“This palpably shows the true nature of the US as the main culprit behind terrorism.”
Kim, just because your rich diet is giving you heart burn at night, doesn't mean the US is using biological warfare against you.
How can he feed his army if he can't even find pants that fit

Eh, kinda hope it's true.
i wouldn't be surprised if the CIA did try it. KJU's oldest heir is only 7 years old so you know that Un's death, especially if it appeared natural, would throw the government into chaos as people would likely try to grab for power.
so this is how they're gonna justify today's missile launch then?
Even if this was true then why wait till now to tell about it.
Unless...

What a ridiculous looking man. He's only going to look sillier with time too.
keep pushing that war button and they won't need to make it look like an accident, buddy
US Navy Seals "training" SK Armed Forces to assassinate the tyrant, posted 6th of September this year. Multiple sources reported this. I'm not sure how relevant this really is because I don't follow the whole issue that much, yet. There was also a thread too but I didn't read it at all basically.

Points I perceived as key:
The special assassination squad, which will be launched in December, was created by the South Korean defence ministry to neutralise “command and control” systems in the North, The Times reported.
Song Young-moo, the defence minister, told MPs: “We are in the process of conceptualising the plan.
“I believe we can create the unit by December 1.”
South Korea's defense ministry launched a plan to kill Kim dubbed Korea Massive Punishment and Retaliation (KMPR), local news service News 1 reported.

Their source is The Times, which is behind a paywall.

That one sentence and their wording makes me think that all of it is just some kind of excuse for their ongoing nuclear tests. Can't put my finger on it though.

Well there is one person who could lead:

I have zero difficulty believing that the US has a plan filed away to assassinate Kim. Probably dozens, ranging from snipers to drone strikes.
I would not be particularly surprised if Trump decides to execute one of those plans. He's agitating for war, and the right-wing media is playing along just like they did with Dubya and Iraq. An assassination would be a logical way to open that war - it might delay the MAD response long enough to take out NK missile and artillery.
I do not believe NK when they say that foreign terrorists, backed by the CIA, attacked with biochemical weapons. That's just too ineffective a plan - we're smarter than that. Bioweapons fucking scream "state sponsored", and the blowback would be immense. If we were to sponsor anti-Kim rebels, we'd do it Bay of Pigs-style, giving them conventional military equipment - but I doubt there's enough NK refugees in the world to form an army of the size you'd need. If we were to go for assassination, we'd do it ourselves, and do it properly. Just show us Kim's dead body, say America did it, and I'll have no trouble believing it.

I would expect them to have a dozen or so plans. The US has contingency plans, as does any country that knows how important planning is, for pretty much everyone else including current allies and even inner turmoil. I wouldn't even doubt that the US has had plans in place for decades on how to respond should Korea develop the technology to delivery a nuclear bomb. The US had plans for a hypothetical invasion of Canada in the case of an invasion by Great Britain drafted in the 30's, I'm sure there are plans for scenarios that you or I could never dream of.

the canadian response to war plan red is pretty funny though "launch assaults across the remote parts of the US then just give up the cities, retreat to the north until they can't follow, if we hold halifax the brits got our backs"

jesus this scared the shit out of me
To be honest, I wouldn't mind it if both the leaders of NK and the US (and also Russia) got abducted and put in a field where they could sit and compare the size of their dicks for the rest of their lives

The Russians love their president though. Do you hate democracy?
The Russians love their president though. Do you hate democracy?
Yeah and I'm sure that 120% of the population actually voted for Putin too.
The Russians love their president though. Do you hate democracy?
Yes I think democracy is horrible. As seen by the US, UK, and Russia, it's a good way for slimey rich fucks to ride on the wave of misinformation all the way to the top where they can sit and make the living conditions worse for the people that voted them in without any reprocussions what so ever.
The only thing that would make democracy work, is if you had a population that was well educated, and understood the issues that they were voting for. Unfortunately the biggest problem in the afformentioned countries, is that that is not the case.
And just like with capitalism, every other alternative is absolute dogshite. However, unlike with capitalism it (democracy) isn't regulated at all. The fact that the Republicans or the Tories are able to get away with the shit they do, is baffling.
