UPDATE: Gaming Center CX has been Rebranded as The Nintendo Newswire Hey guys been on here forever and never had the courage to post my videos until now. Starting Last month, I decided to take it upon myself to start reporting on Nintendo News in a weekly news report type show on youtube and also provide a weekly showcase of the downloads on the eShops for Wii U and 3DS. Now I've been doing this for well over a month and still feel like there is room for me to improve on in my videos, whether it be my editing or the way I speak in the videos. Now if you guys could provide some feedback for me on how I could improve that would be greatly appreciated. Now if you were wondering about reviews and the like, I am currently working on getting press review copies from Nintendo through my PR contact. Hopefully I could have a Super Smash Bros. Review done before the end of summer. Here's the latest video from today: Remember, comments, feedback and other ways I could improve are greatly appreciated.

What does this have to do with GameCenter CX?
It doesn't it's just the name of the channel
It doesn't it's just the name of the channel
That is highly disappointening
These are pretty good! Professional and functional. There are a few very minor things you may want to work on. For one you could use some cleaner fonts, read up on typography and all that good stuff. Make sure the font aspect ratio is correct, it seemed squished or something in the first video. http://webdesign.tutsplus.com/articles/choosing-the-right-font-a-practical-guide-to-typography-on-the-web--webdesign-15 You also have some very minor screw ups when talking, but that's the kind of thing that would just improve naturally as you do more videos, I wouldn't worry about it. Your videos are very watchable.
It doesn't it's just the name of the channel
You're going to confuse a lot of people.
Too professional and artificial for my taste. Especially the downloads one. Feels like you're a robot reading from a script given to you by some sales person.
It doesn't it's just the name of the channel
Was the CX necessary? It will just confuse people, it also looks like you're trying to get people who are looking for GameCenter CX but typed it incorrectly or clicked the wrong link. It's like buying a .net domain with the same address as a popular .com domain.
Well it's not like I can do anything about it now, you can't change your channel name
These are really nice, I agree with Reevezy on them being professional and functional. I do think it sounds a bit too much like it's being read from a script, but that's mostly a nitpick. Whilst I agree that the choice of channel name might cause confusion, this is a pretty good thing you've got going here. Keep it up!
Thanks guys, I definitely hope that my speaking will improve over time on these videos, recently I started this small little form of videos called Late Nights with Brian, basically just speaking my mind on different things in the community, ranging from the Super Smash Bros. Invitational to AlphaOmegaSin making himself look like an idiot for not fact checking the Nintendo Youtube affiliation program. Would like some feedback on that as well. 1. Your vids have no more than 400 views, register a new channel. The name screams scam and is not good if you're actually serious about this. 2. About Late Nights thing, don't use face cam. We don't want to see that. Do it more like TotalBiscuit or whatever. Put up gameplay videos or other visual stuff on there, not your face. I get it is easy to make facecam vids and require pretty much no editing but that makes them very boring too. Unless you actually got something to show the viewer from your camera, don't stream the camera. To me it's just some nerdy dude in a dark room looking into a screen or god knows what else. I don't need that. And IMO for such videos you need a way better mic. Even if the content is good, the noise is very easy to hear and makes the whole experience unpleasant and tiresome to listen.
There is no way I am registering a new channel. I already have had this for well over a year. and currently nearing 160 subscribers. There is no way I am completely dumping this channel. Also I don't want to be like Totalbiscuit, so why should I copy his style?
160 subs is nothing. I bet 80% of them aren't even active users on youtube, less actual viewers. Your channel name is AWFUL. It isn't just silly or bad, it is downright scummy. Of course it is up to you but if you're serious you should change it. Because Game Center CX is hilarious, Gaming Center CX not so much. If CX was US company you'd get taken down the very moment you got any popularity. As for TB, wherever you like him or not is one thing, but he does have arguably one of the best formats around. And raw facecam is one of the worst formats. You can't get away with it unless you're already huge. These are just my opinions and critique and feel free to ignore them but you should listen more to the viewer if you care about them. If you don't care about that though, carry on.
Apparently you can change the name of the channel through Google Plus, Any ideas for a new name? [editline]30th May 2014[/editline] Gaming Center CX is now rebranded as The Nintendo Newswire
And here is a new Late Nights with Brian using the suggestions from itisjuly

A huge step up from facecam. Congrats. One tiny suggestion is please add game name somewhere in the video (actual video, not description box) even if it's just an annotation. Good job.

Another Late Nights.. video. I am also debating whether or not if I should create a small crowdfunding page to gain money to get the equipment I need to make reviews. Basically what I would need is a capture card and that's pretty much it, since I already have the editing software.
Alright I decided to go ahead and start a GoFundMe page to hopefully gain some funds to be able to properly record footage for my reviews. The video here explains why I need the money. And here is the gofundme page: http://www.gofundme.com/9pjb10?preview=1
You should probably wait until you've built a large enough user base before asking for funding like that but worth a shot I guess.
You also need a better mic.
What program do you use to create those custom thumbnails on your videos? Is just some simple image editing software or something like Photoshop? I'm just wondering since I'm thinking about doing stuff on my YouTube channel and I was wondering if there is a program where I can mess around and practice making video thumbnails.
Photoshop
Nobody is going to crowdfund this. Your skill is what your success depends on.
A Nintendo channel where owner doesn't even own Wii U? Now that's kinda silly. Anyway I subbed. Like your voice. Hopefully game reviews do come as that's what I'm looking forward to.
And Here is this week's episode of the Nintendo Download
Better mic and articulate your voice. You're speaking too fast
It could use some audio editing That gray square uses too much space (and you don't really need it during the tailer.) Also, I wouldn't really trust someone who reviews over trailers rather than the games themselves.
