Gunnerkrigg Court updates Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. It is a narrative based webcomic that features a lot of fantastical stuff like ghosts, magic, fairies, science and all that jazz. It has an excellent atmosphere, humor, and beautiful art. It has even won a bunch of Webcomic awards plus Neil Gaiman the man himself once praised it so you know it's good.
It even has its own Wikipedia article!

Actual Factual Information
The majority of the comic takes place in and around the titular court - an institute founded around mankind's technological achievements and incessant curiosity. It serves as the hub where the natural world and the scientific world collide. This situation arose from a lot of history that you'll eventually learn about throughout the .
Beyond the Court is Gillitie Wood, inhabited by wild, magical and folkloric beings who don't take kindly to the students or their technology. While a truce currently exists between the Wood and the Court, most of the driving force of the plot comes from the tension between these two worlds. The rest comes from every single character being fucking wonderful.
Where do I begin?
At the beginning, genius. A lot of folks get discouraged by the mediocre art in the beginning, but trust me when I say that it gets better quite quickly. The story is divided into chapters, all of which are self-contained and conveniently linked to from the main page. While you could probably dive in at the beginning of any chapter and follow it perfectly well, half of the joy of Gunnerkrigg Court comes from watching the chapters weave gradually into a larger series of narratives. You would also miss out on some of the wonderful repeat characters who bring the supporting cast to life. And apparently some people are too dumb to follow the plot even in context, so please just start from the start.

So what are you waiting for? Go and read Gunnerkrigg Court!
I just started reading this-currently Winsbury is my favorite.
Didn't Annie always call the fairy with hair that stuck straight up red?

No, it's never been mentioned in comic until now.
Oh my God I love that comic!!
Looks ok, I guess.
also I'm getting a really strong sense of deja vu.

glitch in the matrix shiiit
Totally going to read this.
Only if I had the time...
It's a very good read... if not a bit girly. Then again, it doesn't hit you over the head with it, and it's to be expected since, well, the main characters are girls. The fantasy is pretty fun, and it's a good blend of a lot of different mythos.
It gets a whole lot better in chapter 2 by the looks of things. Gotta admit, I'm pretty hooked
I'll get around to reading it eventually but Homestuck has put me off storybased webcomics a fair bit.

Gunnerkrigg Court's plot is a lot better told than the jumbled disarray Homestuck is in so there's always that to fall back on.
Just read through the whole thing in one sitting. It kind of reminded me of the Old Kingdom trilogy. I guess I am just a sucker for the whole division between science and magic thing.
Garth Nix's? I really enjoyed that, guess I'll give this a look if thats the case.
Probably the only storybased webcomic I enjoy.
I've read the first 5 or so chapters.
It's pretty boring. The main character seems stale.
The humors not very funny either.
I'll keep reading until it either gets better or I get tired of it.
Just read the whole thing in 3 and a half hours. It's pretty good, I'll try to keep up with it.

I gotta say I laughed pretty hard at the laser cows.
"They've covered the trees in the house."
Silly tree folk.
This is the only comic where I've had an actual bilingual bonus of knowing Slovenian.

the main character gets a lot more realistic towards the current strips
I'm at chapter four. It's alright so far story wise, but it hasn't gotten a chuckle out of me yet. I'll probably persevere with it later, as a lot of you say it's good.
Although I'll probably never bother to read this the coyote shirt looks awesome
The main character is pretty emotionless in the beginning, but I think that was what he was going for. After a couple chapters he might have thought it best if she was a little more easy-going and had a couple emotions to fit in better with the rest.
No, it's never been mentioned in comic until now.
Which was clarified in the latest update.
By the way, new update.
Posting to support this awesome thread + comic.
Fistbump this shit kstyle
Hmm, maybe I should post about another rather well-written webcomic...
Red is such a dick
Red is such a dick
My guess is that Annie will probably name Blue as well.
Got my Coyote shirt yesterday and wore it to the movies today, it's a lot more vibrant in person, which is what I was hoping.
Shadow, best supporting character, all characters.
Like literally all of you post or browse the MSPA thread, but fuck you I'm posting this again anyways.

When I started reading I actually stayed up all night to read it.
It has that "just one more chapter" allure.
