A drone has captured a would-be refugee center in Finland engulfed in flames. Police believe the fire was set deliberately. It comes after arsonists targeted several refugee centers in Sweden in recent months.
The footage shows raging flames and smoke billowing from the building, which is located in a wooded area in the western town of Kankaanpaa.
The center was meant to serve as a reception site for asylum seekers, the first of whom were scheduled to arrive next week.
No one was injured in the fire and the building was empty when the fire broke out, Finnish daily Iltalehti reported.
Police believe the blaze was the result of an intentional arson attack.
It follows a string of similar attacks that have taken place in Sweden in recent months, the latest of which occurred in October.
Definitely not good.
Ugh, the world is going to shit. Everybody is scared and the crazies are coming out of the woodworks because of it.
These extremists are doing nothing but burning their own tax money. This isn't going to change policy or win over anybody.
I may sound like a redneck jerk for saying this.. but I wouldn't be surprised if the refugees would light their own camp on fire in hopes of getting a better home.

I just read that, and the place isn't even half-bad looking either.
Who'd be dumb enough to do this then? This' just ignorant hatred, they haven't even moved in yet or had a chance to settle.
Maybe as some kind of a 'warning' that they don't want refugees around there
How to waste precious resources your country already doesn't have and accidently burn down your backwoods home in 5 easy steps
Sounded a lot better on the webpage for them, didn't it?
The local Finnish people represented in this video

I think two of the fires in Sweden has been confirmed to have been started by refugees but since no one were in this camp it was probably done by some angry extremist.
we simply do not have the room here in finland. to prove this i shall wantonly burn down three stately homes

We have a lot of forest.
Well it's easier to burn a wooden house to send a message than this place

You could protesr or vote in an anti mass refugee party.

we have. Doesn't work because we have a "democracy"

So... great?
we have. Doesn't work because we have a "democracy"
Obviously domestic terrorism is the next best option.

To be honest its not that the democracy doesn't work. But that no one can actually do anything in the government except bicker with each other and wish that things will fix themselves. They have been bickering about some cuts and modifications to taxes for the last 5 years and still nothing is happening. Now that the refugees got here they are getting all the wrath from people because they were the last straw in series of internal issues. Very bad time to arrive here by mass. I can only hope for the best and fear for the worst.

I've lost all hope with the current government. Sipi changes his stance every day, Stubb keeps vomiting bullshit and Soini does nothing.
I can't think of a single thing that current government has done right

Yea, so lets wait until they've moved in and settled down before lighting the place on fire!!
"logic"
As far as I'm concerned, I can actually get why somebody would be driven to do something like this.
If you've seen the news and you're aware of the bullshit the refugee and immigration crisis has brought to most of europe, and you lived down the road and were fearing this bullshit coming to your doorstep, it wouldn't be a decision beyond rationalization to try and get rid of the site so they can't bring the problem to your door step.
I'm just playing devils advocate here. Yea it's a shitty thing to do but a lot of people are are being exposed to this without choice have probably had enough.

But most people aren't being exposed to it, it's entirely unprovoked behaviour :v:
"If you've seen the news and you're aware of the bullshit the refugee and immigration crisis has brought to most of europe" most european countries are not even taking in that many refugees, not compared to say Turkey or Lebanon
Three separate cases of 14 year olds raped by "refugees" last week alone, so it's not surprising people started taking justice into their own hands as the government is incapable of doing anything worth shit.

You're sidestepping my point entirely.
I'm talking about somebody going and burning down a refugee camp.
He would obviously be exposed to it.

Most people aren't exposed to it? :v: What the fuck are you talking about.
Nearly all of these centers are way too close to population centers that really can't handle the ammount of people, and especially can't handle the mix of innocent refugees, economic refugees and criminals.
Oh ya about that, criminals and crimes in Finland.
The average cop investigator around my area (the most densely populated) is usually working on a case that is already about one year old.
Now add in bunch refugees who, while I don't entirely judge them because they have nothing else to do and life hasn't been easy for them and yada yoda, seek to exploit their temporary situation by doing crime. It's pretty stressing, people are easily outraged, then go add another crime on the list crimes. Yay.
Bottom line is, we have a shortage of cops. Just a btw.
Unrelated to everything but I went to check the local refugee center today
I saw one phantom blot on my way there but no one else. The place is like 10km from the city center. How do they even expect for the refugees to integrate when you put them in the middle of fucking nowhere with no way to travel.

The place used to be a retirement home but old people aren't important

Well, I don't really know but I would guess that the first priority is to hold them somewhere, rather than assimilate them into society, them being refugees rather than immigrants after all.
Also it might be better to have a bit of distance between, until after they've been taught the local rules and norms.
Lastly because we're running out of space real fast here.
