If you ever visit Alabama the north portion of the state is very progressive. Birmingham and below is pretty shit.

Despite some of the radio hosts we have in the area, Jefferson County is actually one of the most progressive parts of the state, including Birmingham.

On one hand you have your typical progressive, level-headed college students and on the other hand you have all the rich frat-daddy mega republicans, all somehow co-existing in the same couple of square miles.
