• In how many years will civilization be extinct?

I do not mean that the world and all its population will be dead, but the civilization, if you didn't understand. I think it won't take that long. 30? 50? Where did my poll go? And why did it become two threads?
You really think, that in our lifetimes, all of human civilization will come to an end?
Make a poll.
Civilization will officially end on October 12th, 2092 at 5:32 p.m. (EST)

What the christ did just happen to my beloved thread? :frown: [editline]30th October 2010[/editline] And my poll is gone, of course.
What kind of silly question is this? What makes you think civilization will collapse any time soon? Civilization seems more stable now than at any previous point in history.
About 5-7 Billion years.
litsen to the tits
15,562,801 years, 137 days, and three hours.
Less than 90 years from now or so.

How the humans wants nothing but power? Facepunch?
I'd say we have another thousand years at best.
15 minutes
2 years from december [editline]31st October 2010[/editline] :tinfoil: 2012 man
What makes me think that? The weapons of mass-destruction? The constant warnings? Natural disasters? Oil? Wars? How the humans wants nothing but power? Facepunch?
"How the humans"? I'm suspicious of you, sir :tinfoil:
I'd say a millennium or few. 600 more years, at the least, though.
What makes me think that? The weapons of mass-destruction? The constant warnings? Natural disasters? Oil? Wars? How the humans wants nothing but power? Facepunch?
You still haven't supported your arguments. - Despite their existence for over half a century, weapons of mass destruction haven't been employed in a way that would threaten civilization as a whole. - What constant warnings? The fear-mongering media? - Natural disasters have happened since beginning of civilization. Why would they destroy it now? What logic are you using to support this? - How is oil going to possibly destroy civilization? I don't even understand this point. Unless you mean the lack of oil. If so, why would the lack of oil bring civilization to a permanent standstill? Do you think human invectiveness is that lack-luster? - Modern wars happen on a much smaller scale than the wars of the 20th century. If civilization was going to be ended by wars, it would have been then. - Humans wanting power is a syndrome of being human and thus has existed since human existence itself. This is not a new factor and doesn't even have the threat of destroying civilization.
2 years
Several thousand.
Humans will go out in a blaze of glory, whether it be a Nuclear Holocaust or Incurable Virus it will have to be quick or we will find some way to survive.
when i get laid civilization will never end
