Visceral Games, best known for the Dead Space series, seems to have started development on a free-to-play strategy game for PC. Shortly afterward, Visceral opened a Game Designer job asking for a designer with “work experience on MOBA, Action RTS” titles as well as “knowledge of the competitive space.” Visceral is also presently seeking a Lead Multiplayer Map Designer with “deep knowledge of multiplayer gaming…[and] the action/shooter game genre,” and a Character Concept Artist for an “upcoming PC action title.”

If these building blocks are connected, it would appear the Dead Space developer is crafting a free-to-play MOBA for PC with competitive shooter elements within a Play4Free studio inside Visceral. EA's Play4Free brand gave way to titles such as Battlefield Play4Free, Battlefield Heroes, Command & Conquer: Tiberium Alliances, and Need for Speed World.

Could this be a Dead Space spinoff with competitive strategy in its DNA? Would EA hand Visceral license to expand the Mass Effect or Battlefield series to a new genre? Or could Visceral be building an entirely new franchise for competitive league play?

As 'meh' as DS3 looks to me, this still only applies to co-op; if you're playing singleplayer, you're still by yourself like the previous games, you just may meet the other protagonist from time to time. They even change/add cutscenes accordingly to whether you're playing solo or co-op.

On-topic, this isn't a confirmed Dead Space F2P game. It's just the studio that made the series working on some untitled game that will be F2P.

would still like it the alone parts you had to play by your self so if you get scared you can't look for help

I hate the term moba. Multiplayer online battle arena can be used to describe almost any online competitive game. Call it something like Real Time Tactics or something. OH and I can't see a moba made by EA to actually not fail horribly.

Dead Space 2 was a big improvement over the first one in pretty much every way.

That's only if you play coop. Switch to single player and your team mate magically disappears, no annoying AI for you. This isn't RE6.

That's only in small parts of the games. You still mostly fight necromorphs including some new interesting ones like extremely old mummified bodies that got turned and who only start to fully mutate when you cut some of their limbs off.

Oh and calm your tits everyone, that article is full of shit and so badly written it hurts. Chances are this is just going to be a mediocre dota or league of legends ripoff with pay-to-win elements like pretty much all of EA's free to play up to now.
