Battlefield 3 On Steam (After Release)

Speaking to Redditor, an EA account representative has confirmed that the upcoming release of Battlefield will be available on Steam after all. It will not be released before the official launch though.

Which means that soon after the initial releases are registered from the launch day takeovers, pre-order pick-ups, etc, the newest series to Battlefield franchise will be stranded on the official Steam download service.

However, the representative to EA didn’t jump into details regarding how extended this period would be, but we can assured that EA has negotiated multiple agreements with every other digital distribution channel to solidify the launch day availability.

So, if you are an avid Steam user and you must have it there, also, if you don’t mind waiting, it seems that you may hit the strides for this one.

EA Live Chat is not a good source, they told me no invites were left for the Alpha when they got sent out the same night. And the day after that. Either way my point is just move along its probably not true.

I was a bit skeptical about this at first, it may be worth noting this though until there is some sort of official announcement. For now it remains a rumor.

This isn't news or any sort of confirmation. Seeing how it was posted on Reddit, it's likely the screenshot was edited so the poster gets karma/front page etc.

I also asked EA Chat and they said they have no details regarding it's Steam release yet.
