This isn’t the first time Fox News’ Jeanine Pirro has name-checked video games in a rant meant to inflame people scared of any change to gun ownership rights. But this weekend, Pirro’s comments were made from the NRA’s bully pulpit. An address at the NRA Annual Meetings—reported on by Raw Story— Pirro said the following:
How dare you compare me to a nutjob on the lunatic fringe in desperate need of medication doing nothing but watching Hollywood’s blood-soaked movies and playing the liberal Hollywood’s violent video games for days at a time..

i guess virtual guns are worse than the real thing to some people...
Something about the way she talks infuriates me and I have no idea why.
I'm going to go on a fucking rampage thanks to Cooking Ma'ma and Pokemon.
Thanks Hollywood~!
Something about the way she talks infuriates me and I have no idea why.
Is it because she is a fucking idiot?
i guess virtual guns are worse than the real thing to some people...
People would also rather be without the virtual ones and have the real thing. Especially when you see it as a tool for self defense and a check on your government.
This lady's clearly an idiot though. That was probably the worst speech opener I've ever heard.
I love how she argues somebody exercising their first amendment right is somehow worse than them, who are exercising their second amendment rights.
That fucking thumbnail alone is enough to rustle my jimmies. It's not what she's saying but the fucking smugness on her face as she's saying it.
Im not getting how she can rant on about taking away a mans rights one minute, then whine about how hers are being threatened the next- and NOT realise what she just did.

Fox News: Goldfish politics
Sort of strange how they want to undermine the first amendment to protect the second.
Obviously those pesky liberals are involved
Sort of strange how they want to undermine the first amendment to protect the second.
There is a video of john stewert pointing that out with them wanting to protect the second, but destroying everything else. Sometimes in the same sentence.
Words are coming out but they fail to form coherent understandable sentences to me. Perhaps if she. talked. even SLOWER and with more. EMPHASIS. My feeble mind could grasp. Her intentions.
How dare you compare me to a nutjob on the lunatic fringe in desperate need of medication doing nothing but watching Hollywood’s blood-soaked movies and playing the liberal Hollywood’s violent video games for days at a time.
Well I'm not comparing, I think you literally are one.
She needs to get shot with a game case.
If "Hollywood's" violent video games are making people go out and shoot other people, then why isn't Minecraft compelling people to build giant phalluses everywhere?

NRA is just trying to scapegoat anyone and everyone but themselves for America's mass shooting problem.
Yeah okay Pirro, you're right, Hollywood is just training all of our children to be mass murderers.
The same way she rants about being put into the same category as the man that shot up the Newton school for being a gun owner, and then she turns around and puts people that play violent video games and watch violent video games into the same category as that same guy.
She's stupid beyond belief.
Why are these people even on television, i mean, for fucks sake.
I can't believe some people are that stupid. And people are cheering at her too.
The funny thing is that the games that would actually be beneficial to teaching people actual military type training and such, are also used by the military and require an extreme amount of patience to learn how to play.
I need to get Blood Dragon so I can play liberal Hollywood’s violent video games for days at a time

Wow, ten seconds in and it's already looking good.
Came into thread. Saw Pirro. No longer care.
Hollywood and the gaming industry are rivals is anything
Wheres the flag, I gotta salute something my Blood Saluting Level is running low.
Did she seriously just claim that gun registration is an inexcusable invasion of privacy, then turn around and condone wiretapping?
0:11 onward.

this is all well and good but i feel like these arguments shouldn't even had to be made - video games don't need to be defended by the fact they improve hand eye coordination and all that shit. they don't need to be defended at all because they're art and art speaks for itself and needs no excuses
Haha, told mom about this news story and she said "I'm gonna be 'paperboy' with ROAD RAGE because HOLLYWOOD told me to!"
:v:
Anyways, just from her picture I got a "stupid bitch" impression.
Goddamn liberal Hollywood corrupting our children with their PlayWii 360s.
