That's crazy. Wish manufacturers would stop making phones so goddamn thin, though. Take your 6mm shit, shove an extra 2mm in there for a larger battery already! Don't care if I can slice bread with my phone if the damn thing barely lasts a day.
is tech gore a bannable offence too
i feel sick
Was honestly expecting it to bend way more, like halfway to a U or V or something.
Oh god.
Imagine the shitstorm incoming from the Fandroids.
(For the record, I prefer Android phones over Apples 10 times. I'd buy a barbed wire dildo before I buy an Iphone, but I am not the one getting in Apple users grills for preferring something different than I do)
thank you apple for this wonderful new device

You don't have to be a "fandroid" to admit that a bendable phone is bad
So it doesn't have any steel reinforcement inside? The fuck was Apple thinking.
could i wrap it around my dingus

The Apple Watch is pre-bent to cater to your dingus needs

Sure, but you know there's going be loads of immature fanboys flaming eachother to hell and back over this.

Too fucking true, I want us to go back to beefy blocks that you could drop from 3 stories or run over with a sodding truck and it'd still be fine.
I was just waiting for either the battery to catch fire in this video due to the bending, or the glass to shatter and slice the fuck out of his hands. Terrible idea to do this without proper hand/eye protection.
I miss the days when you could drop a phone on the floor, asphalt or be droven over by a car and it wouldn't get destroyed and unusable.
Todays phones are flimsy as shit.
Funny how far we've come from ginormous cell phones that could be used as a lethal weapon to tiny things like the iPhone 6 that can bend like tin foil.
pretty impressive it stayed in one piece, but most screen breaks are from impacts so I'm not sure how well they usually fare when getting bent up

why would you use the term fandroid for the opposition of android? you've missed an opportunity
Ugh, the design aesthetic of the iPhone 6 is so ugly. They reverted back to a modern iPhone 3G! I loved the design of the 5s.
Maybe they'll make the 5s really cheap and I can just buy a room full of 5s to fanboy over.
So it doesn't have any steel reinforcement inside? The fuck was Apple thinking.
It's a trade-off: The steel would've interfered with the microwave reception necessary to use the revolutionary Wave system; so either you have a resistant phone or a phone that can be charged in your microwave oven.

But what if you try fixing it by bending it back? Looks like the screen isn't cracked or anything.
Why the fuck would you bend your phone in the first place?
I'm sure a lot of android devices would bend too.

Well, something that can be bent easily like that is more likely to bend when someone just sits on it or puts it in the pockets of a tight jeans or something.

5s design wouldn't translate to a phone the size of the 6

solution: don't put your phone in your back pocket like a spastic

the issue is aluminum holds the bend, plastic doesn't.
when you're talking about a 5.5 inch phone under stress in your front pocket in tight jeans, the aluminum will warp
Why can't we get Nintendo to help build smartphones?
Apple has reached the point where their phone are so thin they just bend while it's in your pocket.
The iPhone 6 is pretty solid though.
Edit: they can get slippery as tick though.
Bending resistance is a new test for me so not sure how other phones do but I thought he needed to use a lot of force to bend it. Plus it wasn't that far and it seemed to still work. I hate iPhones but I feel other phones this thin would bend also.

Or be smart and bring it into an Apple Store considering the warranty is still good.

That's not a solution, that's a limitation in order to avoid damage. A limitation that wasn't present previously mind you.
