I plan on making a TF2 comic series soon and I've been looking for comic maker. One that has those sound effects and text boxes and such. (like "POW!" or "PHOOSH!")
An example would be the text boxes, cool words, etc in this comic series:

Anyone know where I can find a [U][B]free[/B][/U] website that lets me create comics sorta like that guy above? And if not, at least a website that gives me those cool text boxes and things.

Gimp? It's a free program, and you can do all of that with a tiny bit of practice. Always better to use a program, gives WAY more options for customizing.
Well, I have Gimp, so I'll look into it and see what I find.
The sound effects in the linked image were probaby (or can be easily done) in Photoshop, I doubt they used any special comic program for it.
I suppose you could do it in GIMP to, just have a browse through the fonts and see if you can gradient, transform / bend, outline / glow / stroke your text.
