Really hits the nail on the head for today's media and the like
That movie was terrible (imo).
It wasn't a good film.
I liked it :c I just viewed it as a humorous commentary not some attempt to make some huge changes or anything. Not preaching, just lighthearted snark.
I can see why people didn't like it. It's preachy as all fuck. And not in a good way.
i loved it
Well that clip has got me interested
Is that Tom Kenny (The voice of sponge bob) in the background?
i think is misinterpreted the movie but i thought it was making fun of the protagonists. it was making fun of that snobby, idiocracy-esque mindset where everyone else except this chosen elite that doesn't participate in pop culture is a fucking moron. it would have been an incredibly intelligent movie if it did that.
movie makes fun of people spouting others opinions instead of having their own, fedora wearing neckbeards everywhere then proceed to link this video on reddit and claim it's their opinion Excuse me?
This movie was fucking as horrible as it was hypocritical. I want the time I wasted watching it back.
Now I must watch this movie.
Wait, I thought the movie was a parody in of itself. I mean, it criticizes movies being too violent against itself in a humorous way. A lot of the stuff the movie said it does, I thought that was the point of the movie. By trying to be different and radical, you, yourself will become what you're protesting against. I may be looking into it too deep, but I found it funny and a good watch, I personally think you guys are taking this movie too serious, as it isn't a serious movie.
Ah yes, the movie that serves as a calling card for those of little emotional maturity. Those people are laughing and having a good time and I'm not? They definitely deserve to die, right?
The entire movie up to that point is all of the commercials on the radio/tv that the cliques are talking about. Its a great build up. The movie as a whole wasn't amazing. Amusing, but not amazing. I didn't like the girl sidekick.
The movie was good but most people were just looking for frank to shoot $Idiot_group, and got let down
It wasn't a serious movie. It was just a popcorn movie with a few rants here and there. Was standard exploitation cinema.
I like how people complain about this movie being preachy when that's the joke. The whole movie leads up to Frank finally giving his grand speech and no one gives a shit. He's just some crazy guy who shot up people he didn't like. He didn't actually change or fix anything. If anything, he made it worse. Even worse, he's speaking against people who decide whether or not he goes on tv :v:
I don't hate the movie, I just hate the people that take it on surface value as "omg so deep, frank is just like me!!"
People didn't even get the right message from the movie if they're just taking what he's saying. The movie constantly portrays Frank as a fucking crazy guy who has delusions of grandeur.
I just couldn't enjoy the movie because I really really hated the main characters and how stupid and ignorant they seemed. And if the creators did that on purpose, then they definitely did it well.
Too bad it was all satire.
I just couldn't enjoy the movie because I really really hated the main characters and how stupid and ignorant they seemed. It's a guy who thinks he knows better than everyone who goes on killing sprees and shoots people up over trivial shit that at best, deserves a slap. It's basically saying, these people are cunts, but you're a fucking idiot if you think that they should die over their simplistic, materialistic lives.
poor man's falling down
isn't this film literally meant to make fun of people that think like the protagonists? if that's the case I find it deeply ironic that cynical teenagers that think they have it all "figured out" keep linking this clip like it's some kind of deep social commentary that totally ~gets it~.

She got sooooo big since the pregnancy" kind of people either.
I wanted to see this movie, but this clip is making me think otherwise. The protagonist isn't fed up with society, he's just pretentious. From this clip is just seems like his train of thought is: "Is it reaching a massive amount of people? If yes, it's bad and low brow because it must be for people to watch it". This is the guy i'd imagine myself seeing in a coffee shop reading Machiavelli but making it obvious he is reading Machiavelli shaming the person next to him who is reading the 5th harry potter book, berating her for being a mainstream sheep.

It's literally making fun of both the media-obsessed and the media-hating. It's just hilarious that everyone identified with Frank and his ridiculously stupid over-the-top gratuitous violence and absolute anger and hatred towards everything remotely popular. It's a movie made to make fun of the people who identified with the main character.

I really can't tell if this movie has an actual underlying plot or if people are just assuming it does.
