Apparently Google's strange little media streamer isn't quite ready for prime time -- not according to the company that made it, at least. The software giant has begun sending out a note to pre-orderers letting them know that the launch of the sphere has been delayed in order to "work on making it even better." The company adds that it's responding to user feedback from previewers who want it to "do even more than it does today." To show that there are no hard feelings, the company will be "extend[ing] [the] Nexus Q preview to our pre-order customers and send[ing] [them] a free device," according to Google. We asked the company to clarify that last bit, to make sure if meant exactly what we thought it meant, and sure enough they told us, "We are sending a free Nexus Q to any users who pre-ordered the device at no cost to them." Sometimes it pays to be an early adopter. No word on when the device will begin shipping, but the company promised it will be arriving "soon."
holy fuck, lucky bastards
time to get in the time machine
I pre-ordered it, woo.
oh wait, I cancelled the order a week ago. :saddowns:

You must pay twice as much. Google punishes disloyalty harshly
So you're getting a 300 dollar device for free?
Neat, even if it is restricted as fuck.
-snip-
Well I guess this thing isn't a phone, then what the fuck is it?
I got the Google Nexus S 4G. I probably wont get another android, google phone after being screwed with ICS on this one.
It's not a phone.
Where's that delorian.
It's not a phone.
I only assumed since it was, since it was named Nexus (since my phone is also Nexus)
What is it? Why would it be useful?

It's not for everybody, but it's not a crime.
It's a thingie that you plug into your tv and stream films and shit to, and you can have music playlists and then your friends can be like "faggot this shit sucks" and add their songs to the playlist too
Give it a month before someone hacks the entire Android OS onto it.
They added a USB port for that exact reason, Google embraces the hacking community.
The Cyanogen Mod team already got CM9 (or 10, I'm not sure) onto it in a alpha state.

its google's entry to the bowling ball market
Holy shit, I can't believe this, although this is why I couldn't buy a single game during the steam summer sale, but hey, that's 300$ I get back, this is why Google is better than other tech companies. (I might just save that 300$ for google glass.)
It can also be used as a translation orb if you're an Ood

You should probably take the advice that your own avatar has to offer.
Learn how to use google. They even have a tablet named Nexus 7
Google's an amazing company, all around.
Thousands and thousands of applications a day should give that away, though
I love the Nexus 7. Best tablet I've tried. Wonder how the Nexus Q will be.
