Pretty sure it was established viruses are not considered living. They require other cells, cannot reproduce on their own, and cannot live independently from a host cell at all. This was probably one of their least informative videos sadly, was not as well done as their others.
Interesting stuff. Reminds me, I remember reading a theory about reincarnation that basically stated that if the Universe is truly infinite than nothing could be permanently dead because the matter that created your conscious experience will eventually reassemble in another time which also implies that you've experienced life in one form or another an infinite number of times in the past. Sort of an infinite monkey theorem.
