Ria novosti is the official Kremlin news agency
Bare in mind that this is agreed between all parties involved.
Ukraine and Russia.

i wouldnt doubt that putin would abuse this and use it as a ruse to position troops or materiel.
Humanitarian aid into Ukraine*
(*for the rebels)
I think "humanitarian mission" needs bigger "'s, assuming there are any big enough to emphasise the level of bullshit.

Just what the doctor ordered
"We will provide sorely-lacked bullets and shrapnel for the internal organs of the citizens of Ukraine."
Is that a fucking lazer cannon
Is that a fucking lazer cannon
Its an anti-aircraft radar.

Now, please excuse my Military ignorance, but what the hell would be in those trucks that would be given to a relatively small fighting force? I mean, there aren't that many rebels (unless I'm horribly out of touch), and there's not much that could be given to them fighting-wise that would be inconspicuous given the quantity shown here.
Its an anti-aircraft radar.
Yeah that's what they want you to think, next thing you know you're being microwaved.
White trucks full of humanitarian aid.
Leaded aid.

Looks like a bloody Maser Cannon
This was also a humanitarian mission.

And then they occupied the Baltics till the 90's
Surprise the trucks are full of soldiers.
Trojan horse UKRAINE edition.
I'm sure Ukraine will check the trucks before allowing them through the border right?
Right?
im willing to bet the trucks actually are full of weapons and such. maybe not troops, but guns and ammo for them, along with other things like field tents and electronic equipment.
What if the trucks are full of bits Crimea and they're just returning the region back to Ukraine?
I'm sure Ukraine will check the trucks before allowing them through the border right?
Right?
Well last we heard, Ukraine had encircled the rebel held cities so one would assume they would, but I doubt they have the manpower to thoroughly check each vehicle.

Well Ukrainian has not been very in control of the situation for quite a while so I'm sure they would like any help they could get. The title is of this thread is very misleading as it makes it look like Russia is just barging in. Ukraine and the Red Cross are part of this aid mission.
"Why did our infantry brigade get renamed to 'itarian'?"
"Russia sends human itarian aid to Ukraine"
"Oh"
"Now get in the truck"
Both parties agreed to it, they will undoubtedly be inspected, and Russia would not smuggle weapons through a Red Cross-led humanitarian aid mission when the whole world is watching. Despite what many think they still care about international and domestic reputation. Besides they probably have far more inconspicuous ways of doing that already :v:
If anything it could be argued that this is an attempt to garner support and strengthen pro-Russian thought in Ukraine (particularly the East).

Oh Russia.
And apparently Kiev released that they will block the russian humanitarian convoy (can't find another source than a few propaganda sites for now, but local news here is saying it as well).
They better be sure to deploy their best troops there, poor discipline would result in shots being fired at the convoy - giving Putin the excuse he needs.
